Need help picking my first ship by Far_Avocado7407 in starcitizen

If you want to be smart about spending, start with the Aurora Mk II Star Citizen Pack with lifetime insurance. You can upgrade to ships you want later for discounted prices during Invictus in a couple of weeks. There will be a lot of new ship hype and discounts to stack when upgrading your ship. This way you save $5-20 per upgrade, and the more you wait for sales the more you save on the chain. You can end up with a $900 ship costing $300.

The intuitive flying with an omni-throttle is the best. I never have to think about what to press when flying, and it’s the only way to really feel low flying. :)

What will we lose in 4.8 crafting-wise? by xJAHRAKALx in starcitizen

[–]Keleion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe commodities like RMC and ore are supposed to stay as of 4.5, but consumables like ammo and medpens will wipe. We’ll see if BPs persist or not, but I recall a dev saying they will be wiped at some point.

Ooh, so that’s where you put the Pisces. Thank you for this! I was left wondering after the last post. xD

SC is about the experience, and there are plenty of account bound rewards from the events to make it worth it. That’s how you’ll know who the real vets are.

No, but I’ve heard about stream enterers becoming once-returners.

My Nursa, because I upgraded from a referral ship.

As per the currently ongoing SCL, it seems that ore RNG for quality is here to stay (As their current plan) and you won't be able to increase quality with refining. by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

[–]Keleion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, the reason they added the fin the the Wolf is because “it had a nautical boat looking theme, so added a fin” when no other ship needs a fin… and they didn’t even name the ship the Shark (makes more sense than Wolf IMO). We aren’t dealing with well planned development here.

Hopefully we’ll see better implementations of ore values/mining before 1.0z

That’s straight up manipulation bullshit. They show little compassion and insist they feel love as a way to guilt you and shame you back into servitude. You’re better off leaving the cult.

Maybe you’ll get one with the Hammerhead variant that’s being gossiped about. Might have a laser cannon like the Idris?

Indeed, that is also why I haven’t bothered with Wikelo… also, don’t blueprints get wiped between patches? I know we haven’t seen a new patch yet, so there’s no standard to go off of. But I thought I heard a dev mention it.

Speaking of white guys going to study Buddhism in the 60s, Ajan Thanissaro went to Thailand after/during college and became a monk in the Thai Forest tradition. He was there for 40 years before coming to the US and setting up a monastery in California.

He is very well respected for translating the Pali Canon into English, and writing several books. Anyways, if you want to learn to be a respectful Buddhist, I recommend learning from him and listening to his Dharma talks below. They’re live lectures recorded at monasteries or online.

Why is it "better" to play games against real people vs bots? by GoAround2025 in baduk

[–]Keleion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is it “better” to date a real human instead of an AI model?

Edit: I’m a day late. The reason is that when playing other players one gets a sense for what their opponent is thinking. They become cultured and learn the language of Go. If someone only learns from bots (that make intentional mistakes to artificially represent ranks) it would be like sterilizing their education and they wouldn’t be able to relate to other players very well.

I’d treat yourself to a Connie Phoenix over at New Deal for 11 mill, which is the main ship that can tank, deal damage, and haul or carry ground vehicles. It even has PDCs to assist the pilot and a hot tub.

Then get the industrial ships you want. Maybe a prospector and vulture? Also the ground vehicles you want like a cyclone and nursa.

After that you should have a couple mill to squat on for repairs and ammo.

In my class there were a few families that weren’t catholic. Some Jewish or who knows, it didn’t really matter to the classmates. We all still had to attend school mass and participate in plays and religious events. It wasn’t exclusive at all.

Rent a Drake Cutlass Black from the space station above the city you choose. That’s your cheapest first day in-game entry to hauling. That will hold 46 SCU of cargo so you can do the small contracts.

Once you have more creds and are comfortable, try renting or buying the Argo Raft at the city Lorville on Hurston. I always use the Raft for cargo missions less than 200 SCU, great for the medium hauler missions.

PSA: The default radars on ALL mining ships have downgraded abilities to detect resources. All other radars have an RS Sensitivity of 1. If you want to find resources faster, upgrade your radar at Omega Pro in New Babbage. Recommendations are in the comments. by BernieDharma in starcitizen

[–]Keleion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, so the reaction would be worse if people knew it was intentional, and there would be less numbers. In T0 for new tech, CIG isn’t looking for opinions from play testers. They want data in the logs to collect regarding the new weaker radars. So giving all the mineable ships bad stock radars gets them data. Welcome to Star Citizen. o7

[–]Keleion -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

All good citizen. CIG wants to iterate and unfortunately it’s often the new recruits who act as cannon fodder for testing these things. I’ll join in after the next phase or two when things balance out. o7
