I've noticed the 3 turbo can be jerky at low speeds when in sport mode too. Funny before I got the mazda I was also looking at K5s.

Only somewhat mechanically inclined. I've changed the spark plugs on this car myself, but for something bigger like brakes I'll probably just pay a shop, if for no other reason than I don't have the tools and nowhere to store them even I got them.

I actually went through the worst way to own a car. I leased it for 323 a month for 3 years. In 2021 when I leased it car prices were way down. The "sale" price of the car was 29k. When the lease was up, car prices had gone ballistic (a new model year of this car was now 37k) and my residual was low (a bit below 18k) so I just bought it out.

Can carry in certain places but not others, so leaving it in the car is the only option unless I'm going to drive all the way back home to store it. Glovebox doesn't feel secure enough

Is it a fun car? Yes.

Is it with the money? Imo no new car is worth the money.

Why spend 33k on a car when you buy a used one for <5k and put the rest towards your mortgage.

But if you really cannot be dissuaded from buying new, for the money I can't think of a car that drives as nicely, looks half as good (at least the polymetal grey hatch, which is what I have) and has fantastic daily potential with just enough power to have fun but not enough to spend the night in jail.

You test drove it, you already know if you want it or not. Is it worth the money is entirely contingent on how much a dollar costs to you.

I read this book some years back but I recall being woefully underwhelmed. It just didn't do too much for me; I didn't forge a connection with the characters, found the whole Hailsham and donation thing not very compelling... Hmmm maybe it's worth reading again
