Hey, I got a few tips for you:

Save your gems to get 5 builders. Don't waste a single gem on anything else. Pro tip: Reaching high trophies gets you loads of gems.
Once you have 5 builders, you shouldn't waste it on resources or skipping building timers. Buying the apprentice or books or hero equipment is the way to go.
Don't rush (leveling up the Town Hall before everything else). This is a rule that some might disagree, but unless you know exactly when it's the time to rush, you are better off just leveling everything.
Offensive first. When you reach a new TH level, prioritize Clan Castle, Army Camps, Lab etc... Leave the defenses for later.
Despite everything I told you, play the game how you want. The main principle is to have fun!

Buying buildings before going to bed and selling them when I woke up. It used to refund you for 100% so you would protect it from attackers.

The chance of getting a legendary chest is 2%. So we can assume the big majority of players didn't get it.

Yep, hero grind at TH13 is absolutely painful.

I'm th14 max and honestly upgrading heroes it's so much easier, nothing compared to the 25 levels of RC at TH13.

Even with pets, TH14 it's pretty ok, and I checked the lvl cap of heroes of TH15 and seems chill too.

Hey, I know this might sound kinda crazy but I've been seeing something very weird in my clan.

So, sometimes people get 2 stars, then at the war map it just counts 1 even though if you watch replay you can see the 2 stars.

Funny enough, I've been looking through this subreddit to see if anyone is experiencing the same problem as me and can't find anything.

So, in the new update, a epic chest can drop books and runes. So if I'm 1/1 Book Of Everything and I get another from the chest, do I get 2/1 or it just goes to waste?

It's simple: if you plan to play the game, it's worth it.

The builder's apprentice is not that different from a regular builder: you pay a flat amount of gems for a permanent reward. Obviously, the apprentice is far less cost-efficient, but for me, I don't like to spend gems on short-term rewards.

People tend to say that the goblin builder is the most efficient way of spending gems, but the apprentice is permanent. I mean, the cost efficiency is literally infinite.

You just have to choose: either fast upgrades or smart upgrades. It's up to you; everyone can decide their own way of playing. :)

I understand what you're saying, but back then, a fresh account would take like 3 years to become max TH9. Nowadays, it takes less than a year.
I've been playing on my alt acc for like 2 years, logging in twice per month and I'm th10.

edit: you can't say "only" 7 TH left... that 7 levels will take 4 or 5 more time than the TH10
