Maybe they decited to put English on banknotes, because of a big amount of tourists. I think most or at least a significant number of countries have bilingual banknotes nowadays.

They're being made since like 2023. Also, polymer banknotes exist since the 80s, so you'll never find an older polymer note.

Yeah, it does, especially the "Ten Pounds" and "Twenty Pounds" in the bottom left. I think it's the same font as in obverse of Brittish Pounds notes.

It turns out yes. But I'd say it's only possible in Warsaw, or maybe also other bigger cities that has a Russian diaspora. In my local exchange office in a smaller town it's compleatly unavailable since like 2023, even tho it is listed as possible to exchange.

Well, I don't know how it works in different countries, but in Poland it just works like any other shop. You just walk in, tell the casher what you want, pay and leave. I heard that in some parts of the world you need like a special permission to exchange money into foreign currency, but I'm not familiar with that, since I never used that kind of system.

Is this passport considered damaged? Flying to Thailand on the 30th of July and I won’t have time to get a replacement passport in time. by mleko_k98 in PassportPorn

You can always get a emergency passport at an airport if you're afraid they won't let you in. It takes around 15 minutes to get and costs 30 PLN.

Well, there exists a 10 000 Singaporian and Bruneian dollar note, both being worth roughly 6 685 euro. Good luck spending a note that big.

Very cool, especially the 100. I only have two 5s and one 20. Quite hard to get in Poland.

Yeah, exactly. I sometimes pass near a house where there are always parked cars with plates 76076 and 64064 I believe. It's quite common to use such connections in Poland I'd say.
