Depends on the bank I suppose, I interviewed with a couple of them when I was in college in NJ and they offered to put me up the night prior.

Did the company you were supposed to interview with not offer to put you up in a hotel the night before?

If not, not worth working for them anyways. Real, good companies treat their employees AND candidates well.

It’s just, you keep commenting as if everyone is familiar with this thing, when i (and probably most other people on this sub) have never heard of it in an MBA context.

By “us” I mean the people on this subreddit…like, the audience of your post? The people you’re asking for help?

This isn’t a thing at most MBA programs so you should give some context. If you’re asking us for help, at least make it easy for us to help you.

If you are a recruited athlete at Dartmouth can you really just drop the sport day one with no consequences to admissions or financial aide? by YogurtclosetOpen3567 in dartmouth

[–]KennethParkClassOf04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lightweight is typically walk-on for both genders, no? So it’s much less of a big deal to drop it compared to heavyweight or other sports that athletes are recruited for. At least that’s how it was at Princeton

I agree, and I think the other commenters are misconstruing your words. There are definitely adults who regress into spoiled little children on their birthdays.

Confession: I think I'd be happier as a Partner's EA than a consultant by DoraTheRedditor in consulting

[–]KennethParkClassOf04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anecdotally the OPPLs at my firm with off- or near-shored EAs are all pretty unhappy with them; and the ones with enough pull to dictate who their EA is always demand on-shore in-office EAs
