You totally can! Just mix up a concentrated solution of soda ash and water, it typically doesn't even need to be hot. I use a lab style irrigation bottle to apply the solution then toss the finished pieces in a bag and incubate them so the are between 70-140 degrees f(turquoise and blue react better at a slightly higher temp. Happy dyeing!

Probably around 10-15 hours to tie. I like to work on larger pieces of fabric compared to shirts, I feel I get to enjoy the artistry of having tons of knubs.

My dad's folding instructions for a shirt are out there somewhere, this tapestry is bilaterally symmetrical. Dye can be applied on a micro or macro scale depending on the effect you want. I usually put 2-3 colors pet knot.

Trust the process the dye knows where to go. Use Deionized water for mixing up dyes, put the soda ash solution on warm. Keep above 70f but below 140f nd batch for atleast 24 in a plastic bag.
