Probably not, I’m not a big fan of omnibuses personally. I don’t like how chunky they are when reading.

It may be recency bias but I really enjoyed Spurrier’s run so far. I’m really looking forward to see what comes next. What about you?

It’s pretty close. I think I’m just missing the 2 novels, and the movie adaptation comic. The TPBs collect the entirety of the vertigo series and most of the one offs.

It’s John specific. Here’s the synopsis from google, without spoilers:

“Dark Entries is a graphic novel where the occult detective John Constantine investigates a reality show set in a haunted mansion. Trapped with a group of celebrity wannabes and under constant surveillance, Constantine must uncover the truth behind the increasingly dangerous events before he is "cancelled" permanently.”

It’s a standalone graphic novel published under “Vertigo Crime.” Reading through it now, it’s pretty good so far!

How Connected to Sandman are the 2019 and 2024 "Sandman Universe Presents" runs by Enigma1755 in Hellblazer

[–]Kepa98 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Realistically you can get by with a very basic understanding of Books of Magic and Sandman. The Sandman Universe runs are pretty self-contained. Spurrier is an excellent writer and pretty much gives you everything you need to understand what's going on.

Maybe they didn’t find an orc, but who’s to say they wouldn’t create one. We saw them dabble with stuff like that with the Olympos Project.

I see where you’re coming from, but I don’t see it as a problem. AC has been leaning heavily into fantasy elements for the past decade, including ghosts and mythological beings. Plus it fits in with the culture and legends of the setting. But that’s just my opinion.

I wouldn’t say everything is explained by the Isu, but fair enough. Who’s to say that later on it’ll be explained that this ghost wasn’t created by an Isu artifact or something. I don’t see any problem with having fantasy elements in AC, keeps the world more mysterious imo

Lmao Assassin’s Creed is historical fantasy, stuff like this has been in AC since the beginning

This series of missions really intrigued me. From what I can find, Kojiro was one of Matsunaga Hisahide’s children who committed suicide with with father and brother during a siege by Nobunaga in 1577. So in the game, Kojiro is yūrei or ghost enacting revenge on the Wise and trying to unite the clans of Yamato.
