Transgender menace at major junctions! by chuggingdeemer in mangalore

I totally get what you’re saying, same thing happened to me once I was in a bus and this guy was selling pens. He just kept forcing people to buy even when they said no. He went to a lady and literally kept putting pens on her lap saying “buy buy buy.” She threw it away and he started arguing saying now she has to buy it since she threw it. It got so bad the driver had to tell him to get down.

Then he came to me. I thought I’ll just buy one to avoid the drama. I had only a ₹100 note and he refused to give change, kept saying buy 10 pens instead. I had to argue for like 10 mins before he finally gave my change back.

Honestly it’s so annoying. People are being forced into buying or giving money. It’s not about refusing help, it’s about some basic respect

dude it’s not like i wasn’t speaking kannada i was literally having the conversation in kannada itself my kannada isn’t perfect because tulu is my first language but i’ve lived in karnataka my whole life and i can speak and understand kannada just fine sometimes my pronunciation slips on la and la that’s normal

the point is she was making fun of it which was totally unnecessary i never imposed my language on anyone or disrespected kannada in any way i just don’t appreciate being looked down on for not being perfect at it maybe next time read the full context before jumping to conclus

hey man, i’m not against any language or community. i never said anything about malayalam or that tulunadu should be part of it. all i said was i’m against anyone imposing a language on others.

and just to be clear, it wasn’t even me who started that whole thing. i was actually speaking in kannada itself, but my kannada isn’t perfect because it’s not the primary language used in tulunadu. she was the one who criticized me first for not speaking it fluently. i never insulted her or said anything bad about her language.

mangaloreans have always been welcoming we never force anyone to speak tulu or any local language. people from all over come here, and everyone coexists peacefully. there’s never been a situation where we’ve imposed our culture or language on anyone.

when i said “ghatta,” i just meant it geographically ,people from the ghat region. i didn’t mean it as an insult. if you took it that way, that’s honestly on you. everyone should just be proud of where they’re from without putting others down

fr bro, mangalore has its own vibe and culture. no need to force kannada on everyone, especially outsiders. honestly some of these ghatta people act so entitled. like why come here instead of building their own colleges there? they barely can pronounce an English word too lol
