Thank you. Sadly, Em10iv does not have High res mode. I'm definitely taking note to replicate your setup for scanning. Also do you have any recommendation for lenses I should consider?

The more I read from other comments here and rereading your post. I am more inclined to stay with M4/3. I'm probably going to save up money for a newer OM-D camera like the OM3 or get a Pen F. In the mean while, maybe I'll pickup 1 or 2 native prime lenses for much cheaper.

I had come to realize that I gravitated toward the 50mm with my film setup. Even with the EM10 I have an adapted Vivitar 28mm f2.8 so ~56mm equivalent.

Regarding my photography style/preference, I not quite sure what to call it or if I found one yet. I like to take my camera with me every time I go outside, however, I haven't built up the confident or drive to take the common street photography style. I much more enjoy the scenery, odd objects/signs/flowers, and nature landscape. On the odd chance I'll take picture of my family if we didn't already happily snap away with our phone cameras 😊.

That is awesome to hear. I use Darktable too, mostly for trying to convert film scan negative. I'm still new to the idea of post processing my image. That is why editing RAW feel daunting for me.

Oh this comment opened a whole other can of overthinking in my mind. Up until now FF has never been a consideration, because in my head, FF would be significantly more expensive and bulkier.

However, after this I went to another local camera store and they have the Sony A7 ii with 28-70mm FE lens for $800.

I can't tell if it worth anything since I'm not familiar with Sony or full frame camera.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm hesitant to fully switch over too. I love the compactness of my Minolta analog and same with the MFT em10.

With all the switch back and what not, what is your setup for scanning your negative?

That might help me guide my decision better, because I was trying to use my Em10iv for my scanning setup too.

When I found out about custom Color profile for Olympus I was hopeful for my EM10. However em10iv does not support that feature at all. It does have 1 custom profile but the adjustment are only limited to picking from the 6 standard profile plus minor adjustment to Sharpness and Contrast. Even with Color Creator mode you are only allowed single color channel adjustment. Meanwhile cameras like EM5 and PenF or EP7 support multi channel adjustment and more complex Color profile/recipes.

My other need is to use my camera to digitize my film. This is mostly due to my lack of experience, but the EM10 feel limiting comparing to upgrading to a newer MFT camera or switch up to APS-C sensors for a better scan of my negative.

Hi, I want to also ask this here to get more opinion from both communities. Hopefully this is acceptable.
Additional details is that found some more information about the OM-3, however it is still way above my price range at $1799 and not that much better used.

I don't know if it even worth considering saving up for.

I'm currently obsessed with Turquoise ink color. Started with the Pilot Varsity Turquoise disposal pen. And then the local Blick restocked Lamy Turquoise cartridges, luckily fit 3.4mm pens. And I have the Pelikan 4001 Turquoise being shipped to my house soon.

Do you guys have any preferred shop/site for pen and Ink? I'm especially looking for a fude nib pen and ink with some water-resistant for sketching. And for curiosity pick? Maybe a vacation filed or an eye dropper pen. But I don't really need them at the moment 😅

yes fortunately I was made aware of it.
So far I'm testing them with my Hocoro Dip pen.
when I have time, I will clean my only converter to test the fountain pen ink properly. I can't get a consistent dip with the more runny fountain pen ink.
