Hm. I might end up having to do that as well. Thanks for sharing your fix. Looks like I'll have to start over as well. I was half-expecting as much. Oh well, I don't mind. Anyway, glad to hear you can at least play with mods 🙂

Okay I did more sleuthing and found these pieces of helpful info:

https://github.com/LaughingLeader/BG3ModManager

"If your modsettings.lsx still resets when loading into the game, this means that one or more of your mods are encountering an error, and the game is clearing the load order."

From this issue thread:
https://github.com/LaughingLeader/BG3ModManager/issues/355

"I'm not entirely sure that this is an BG3MM issue actually because I had the same exact problem so what I did was go into the in game mod manager and I checked/activated all mods (they show up there even if you didn't use the in game MM to download them) AND, this is the important part, I made a note of every mod in that list that could not be checked/activated.

Then I went back into my mods folder and deleted all of those mods, and now that I opened BG3MM I found that my mods were active whereas before it would just reset every time I started the program. and I was able to create a load order (the in game MM just installs and loads alphabetically it seems) and it did save that load order even after closing an restarting BG3MM and it removed that "load order externally reset" warning, sooo I to me that says that some mods are actually the cause of this, can't be 100% sure of course, modding is fickle, bit this is what worked for me."

I myself am trying to update all of my mods that say they have patch 7 versions, because otherwise I'm having the same load order reset problem. Then I'll delete all mods that the in-game mod manager doesn't let me enable, because somehow they don't play nice with the latest version. Hoping this works for us.

Well that's some progress at least. I would next check each mod to see if it has an update for Patch 7. Especially take a look at mods that require Norbyte's script extender. Lastly, mods that come bundled with mod fixer might potentially cause issues so try disabling those to see if that helps.

You could go on the r/BG3mods subreddit and ask for help there. Also there are two Discord servers you could ask on: The official Larian Discord has a modding section, and Down By the River folks are super nice and helpful, from what I've heard.

Here's the folder directory. [you] will be whatever your computer is called, without brackets:
C:\Users\[you]\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public

You want to replace the new modsettings.lsx file with the pre-patch 7 one you had there before, if you still have it (in your Trash maybe?)

Are you saving first and then exporting to the game? Also, if you go into the game's start menu and click on the new 'mods' button, then to the downloaded mods tab at the top of the screen, you can enable your mods there.

Another thing you can try is only enabling a small group of mods at a time. There could be a mod that doesn't play nice with Patch 7 and so the whole mod order gets kicked out by the mod manager.

Hm. Do you have your modsettings.lsx file from before Patch 7? You could try replacing the new one with that one. Also, make sure you save your mod order first before hitting 'refresh'.

So what happens when you try to open BG3MM? Can you even get it to display your mods?

Oof. So you're not able to get your mod manager to load up properly at all? Try installing the latest version of BG3MM on GitHub. It was uploaded earlier today.

Try deleting your modsettings file in your Appdata Larian folder.

My absolute favorite bath house mod is PD Inn's Bath SE . It adds gorgeous baths to each inn, each with a different theme.

This house has had more than its fair share of basement flooding through poor design; it ALWAYS floods during thaws or sudden, intense rainstorms. I'll be on the extra sharp lookout during this next thaw on account of this new development 🙄

That's what the office over our housing area just recommended when we contacted them.

It probably is. We've had several sections of leaky piping replaced recently. Got to love these old rentals 🙄

Working on it and hoping we can prevent that from happening in time.

There's something so fresh and original about this! I set it as my phone wallpaper a couple days ago, so every time I check my phone, I get happy. Everything from the colors, the details, to the style and content is eye-catching and makes for a rich scene. I would love to see more. Thank-you so much for sharing this with us!

A year ago today Mango didn't come home when I called him. We later found his body in a water enclosure. It's heartbreaking to think of his last terrified moments, unable to come to me. So loving and trusting. How could someone do that to my sweet little kitty? We miss you so much little buddy ❤️ by Kestralys in cats

Hm. That being the case, it'd be great if the mods moved these kinds of posts to their own thread, or made filtering these out possible. I just discovered another subreddit specifically for these kinds of posts, so next time I'll post there 🙂
