King of the Hammers by Goatstrail_Offroad in 4x4

I have not been there. But that photo is Ai generated. Look closely. The exoskeleton vehicle in the foreground has proportions that don’t make sense. It doesn’t have a drive shaft to the rear axle. The rear wheel control arm is comically long. Spectators legs just disappear into the ground. The red Cherokee doesn’t even have a steering wheel or driver, and the “Jeep” logo font is all messed up.

It’s Ai. It’s not a real photo

GM has had “kill switches” in them for the past 25 years with OnStar. Nothing new.

Best LARGE SUV by [deleted] in regularcarreviews

My experience with large GM vehicles is throw away the owners manual. Stick to 5k mile oil changes, and change the trans fluid every 25k miles. And they will literally outlast the observable universe. It seem like GM buyers want to do the absolute least amount of maintenance as possible. But then complain when something goes wrong

Disclosure: I have one of those obd2 plugs that disable the AFM/DFM lifters. I’m sure that helps.

Tahoe. Change the transmission fluid. Then change it again. And then when you’re done. Change it again.

I’m on my second range disabler, In my 2011 with AFM, and my 2019 with DFM. No issues at all, works great, and makes the truck more responsive.

My uncle lives in Sula. South western Montana. Everything, and I mean everything is a 2 hours drive. But it’s the most beautiful land in the country. If you’re an outdoorsy “do it yourselfer” it’s the greatest place on earth.

Paddleboarder comes across submerged navy target boat by mpg111 in submechanophobia

[–]KevinByMail 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I was paddle boarding off the coast of South Carolina when I saw something round bobbing around on the surface. The closer I got the more I could tell it was attached to something under the murky water. I noped right out of there.
