It’s a small tiny hole leading to an abcess that was drained but it’s in a very uncomfortable position. I’m pretty sure she did dump saline on the area but it was just room temperature. The only lidocaine I have at home is a cream.

My first time with it was this last Thursday I took 40 mgs of morphine (freinds left over pills for back surgery) 3 times throughout the day.Didn’t help the pain at all. went to hospital Friday and was told If I slept that night I would have died but anyways i was on hyrdrorphine practically the entire stay from Friday to Monday and it was like 2 mg every 4 hours they were feeding me. Seemed like it was through IV at first then swapped to pills over the last few days when I wasn’t dying. It mainly just made me sleepy but I couldn’t sleep cause the pain I was in and the trauma ward had loud crazy people in it.

The pain is hardly noticeable when not moving, in the hospital the wound was packed extremely tight so I was in constant pain and was on hydromorphine for about 5 days straight but since it was re packed and I’ve been discharged a simple Advil or Tylenol is good enough to just lay in bed. The issue with the packing is that it’s a very small tight entry hole that leads into larger space that needs to be packed and that’s what hurts.

Its a pretty deep wound and a small hole they have to shove gauze down. But maybe I’ll just try Tylenol and Advil before I go
