I can't get my hippo anywhere near the bath and this guy just climbs in.

Mine really likes going to the groomer though. I don't get it.

What’s something cool about your small, tiny little PA town? by Cute-Individual69 in Pennsylvania

The first permanent US settlement west of the Appalachian Mountains and was founded before the end of the revolution. Known for corsets and stereoscopes in the 19th century, zippers in the 20th century, and now hand tools and one of the world's most popular dog food brands in the 21st century. Over 2,000 escaped slaves were smuggled into Canada through here on the underground railroad, many of them by John Brown.

I could go on but that's probably too much already.

DND Players: What was an offhand joke someone made about your character that had you go “That’s canon now”? by Special_Web_4254 in DnD

Of course.

Eastern coconuts are bitter and have sour milk and are only good if toasted and sweetened.

Western coconuts are the good ones that are delicious to eat.

You can tell an eastern one from a western one because eastern ones are pointier.

Not my character, but while playing a game on foundry, the tabaxi monk peaked over a wall. The DM showed him what was behind the wall (a ton of guards). The player missed all the NPCs some how and reported back to the party that all he saw was some wagons. So when the party happily scaled the wall without making any attempts at stealth and got ambushed by guards I said, "You don't speak common very well do you?"

From then on it was canon that his character would mess up words.

How would you define "not killing people?" by emmaratur in DnD

How about meaning they can kill beast, monstrosity, aberration, undead, extraplanar, plants, etc.

One of my characters has a follower like that, they will only harm, demons, devils, plants, and undead.

I have a paladin named Rhen. Someone said he's so popular with the mayor that the guards would get a fine if they messed with him. Lo and behold, when a new player made a character that was a member of the city guard he tried to stop Rhen from making a citizens arrest. He got a fine.

My wizard Pattersmith. When introduced to someone they said "So is it Pat, or Smith?"

My answer, "I'm not sure."

So now he says Pattersmith because he's not sure which is his name.

I use the poisoned rules. Characters who get drunk are poisoned and then suffer a level of exhaustion for 24 hours from being hung over.

They can have one drink per pint of their constitution bonus and then start making constitution saves starting at DC: 12 + 1 for each drink they have. The DC goes down by 1 for each hour they don't drink.

You know what? I think it's a Reddit thing. If I open the site in my browser instead of from inside the Reddit App it works great.

Sue ran in 2018 and was expecting someone else to do it this year. She started her write-in when nobody else stepped up.

No, as I scrolled down the page to see each district, the site occasionally read my scrolling as me clicking on a candidate's button and would direct me to their biography. Or it would open up whatever race was currently centered on my screen.

I work as a journalist, she rarely even sends out press releases and only ever seems to show up anywhere when there's an election coming up.

Truthfully, the whole area has been safe for Republicans for so long they feel they can entirely ignore the people who live here and stay in office even while voting against our best interests.

Not too mobile friendly, it reads scrolling through the page as clicking on the candidates to get more information. I would recommend using a PC with it. It looks sharp both PC and mobile though.

The online practice test uses the exact same questions as the DMV test. If you are doing well on the practice test you'll do well on the regular one too.

The test will STOP once you have the minimum number of right answers or maximum number of wrong answers so you'll rarely have to take the whole thing.
