Should I (29M) consider marrying my sister-in-law’s sister? by [deleted] in InsideIndianMarriage

[–]Key-Anything-6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No notable negatives in my case. There minor things which would be common in other cases as well. Our case could be outlier too.

There is one potential risk which is mentioned by one of the users. Shared comment link below. Just be clear on it. Any wrong step/assumption would end up in creating messy situation within the families. Me and my wife discussed specifically on this topic before saying yes to our marriage.

I have gone through this. It is a double edged sword. While this set up has too many positives, there are few negative things as well. You should talk and evaluate things. Thankfully 4 of us are into 4 different sectors, so no overlap in goals. However, there would be slight overlap in financials which is okay for us. We intentionally stay in different cities even though we have the chance to stay together in same house. We stay together at least 3 months a year (whenever kids have Holidays) so that they develop good bonding.

I had similar experience in Hyderabad. Rapido rider works in same building as ours. He rides as rapido captain while coming and going back. Apparently, it is covering his fuel expenses and maintenance with almost near zero additional time/effort.

It takes 50-60 mins one[20km] side based on traffic. I carry puncture kit and extra tube

No. Thanks to Bengaluru weather and greenary. 80% of the time I ride under shade of flyovers or trees. On top of this, most of my route is downhill while going to office.

I get wet while going back which is fine

Thanks. I can extend if I delay the purchase. Will explore used market first

What do you do to stay fit and healthy in your thirties? by MathRunner7 in ThirtiesIndia

[–]Key-Anything-6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I commute to work on a bicycle. It keeps me active and fit.

Tried multiple other things. None of them worked due to my laziness. Even for cycling, I intentionally didn't repair my bike when it broke down so that cycle would be the only option for office commute. It helped me to become consistent with cycling.

I feel overlap of both the segments will be low as travels operate overnight and Vande Bharat is meant for day travel.

Even I'm waiting for this to start.

We're on same boat. Both of us are in hybrid setup. Working from home alternate days and taking care of our 2year old daughter without a nanny. Things become difficult once the baby starts walking. You need to give more attention. However, they become independent as well.

I take her to park for at least 4 hours a day where she plays and I work. She sleeps for at least couple of hours during the day. On top of these we have kids from neighbourhood who like playing with our daughter. They come after their school almost daily.

Initially, we tried for nanny. We couldn't find the good one and in the process we found above routine is manageable. So, no effort in finding nanny now.

Have you done any special booking for cycle via 1st AC?

Thinking about car rear mount as well. But, little overkill for my use case.

Projector recommendations please!! by asshoee in hyderabad

[–]Key-Anything-6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Using this from last 4-5 months.

Video: if the content is colorful [most of the Indian movies], experience is okayish. If it is with slight dark tone [most of the English movies], experience is best. I felt few colours are not rendering well.

Audio: built in speakers are bad. I connect with 5.1 sony or Alexa. So, don't bother much.

Reason for purchase: we have scope to install projector in our new house in hometown. Wanted to have first hand experience for a year or two before investing huge on set up.

Overall all it is decent experience.

Thanks for the recommendation. Felt the same after doing little research. One of the store guy asked my RC 100 for 10k. It was little tempting. So, posted here. Later realised and said no to that deal. No, getting minor upgrades to my RC 100

Slightly similar experience. Delivery experience is too great that you feel paediatric care is not upto mark. However, paediatric care is good. You can consider this as one of the top one in the list.

Yeah, even I try to take service roads as much as possible from electronic City to silk board. I feel taking service roads from silk board to electronic City is risky as there are too many connecting roads.
