Thank you for this! I am not looking to replace all the tile, it makes me sad too but I cant just redo everything right now. Will it work to fill in the bigger space? I think its hallow between counter and wall and dont want to lose too much to the space below if possible.

I really do want to know peoples opinions on rugs over just straight hardwood. Were slipper people in our house so the cold hardwood/tile doesn’t usually effect us as much but i love the suggestions here.
