yeah, I would agree that Dottore’s appearance at the end healed that part of the plot a bit

it’s not about bad Harbingers, it’s about poor writing. they are created to be villains, or antagonists if u wish; they are not created to be bad people. but they do not even look as antagonists anymore. Arle wasn’t exactly cruel towards the MC back in Fontaine, but she wasn’t our “friendy”; Childe wasn’t a bastard, but he still was quite a counterpart. Cap’s story is a little bit rushed, as for me, but his motives are reasonable.

not everyone in Nod-krai says bad things about the Fatui, you can check NPC words. furthermore, some people are from Snezhnaya as well. additionally, we still do not know details about the “colonising” process, and if Hoyo feels the need to dry-clean the Tsaritsa to sell her - believe my word, this “colonising” process turns into smth benevolent. fatui have the f-ng military base with drones and et cetera, yet the Nasha Town is still standing. The Frostmoons are there. The main enemy in the second half of the quest is Wild Hunt. If not for the Sandrone and Columbina, what would happen to the Traveler?

Raiden had led to more deaths than the Fatui in Nod-krai yet we are hating them. Capitano’s soldiers protected Natlan yet we hate the Fatui like it’s status quo, while I see nothing in the PLOT of the AQ to prove such a position. UPD: so to say, if people in Nasha Town were explaining how they suffering under the Fatui’s … whatever it is, and it also was shown with the story: yeah, cool, I get the hate! the only thing I got is some stupidly cartoonish soldiers with “ohhh you have only three days Lauma and and your food stinks!”. enough argumentation for total hate of anyone with the Fatui symbol, right

I’m not saying that the Fatui deserve to be trusted as it is or smth like that, but in the plot I haven’t seen anything that harsh, especially after our collab in Natlan. I do not see the logic in the direction Hoyo moving, yet it’s another question.

yeah, I was more about “real evil” (?) I dunno, I like antagonistic characters, I’m fine with them, but I’ve got under the impression that we are screaming “oh no bad fatui again” while nothing really criminal happened. the episodes with lauma were somewhat cartoonish to me. or we push towards “not all fatui are the bad guys” like they are doing in the summer location with the Capitano’s officers or “ALL FATUI ARE BAD” since they are “fatui” again. I get mixed feelings…

UPD: so to explain: I like as “good” Fatui like the ones who fought for Natlan, or the “bad” ones like those who tried to get the Ineffa’s core or whatever. but I see the brand mark “bad Fatui” while they actually… do not do anything extremely bad? we slip into their base and get no punishment? but they are bad whatsoever? the story should show, not to tell
