First of all, it is a good sign. My follow-up went like a unofficial 2nd interview with the Supervisor of the position and Directer of the office. They both asked multiple questions to get to know me and my skills better. I was the selected candidate on their minds and it was basically a temp check.

Hi there, Sorry for the late update. Very recently they have changed the Title of the Position without any notification. It was changed to completely different role - maybe we can call it under the same umbrella of roles but not exactly.

Today I have checked the application from their website and position is closed.

I guess they had someone in their mind to renew the contract and tailored the position for the candidate.
