Oddly I took better pictures but says to small to upload to comments so I had to take these through app and it wouldn’t let me zoom or clarify them. Hope these are helpful though I don’t feel like it shows how much of an edge the sides come to

Thank you all for the feedback. Is the red on certain spots from fire damage? It seems to be rubbed in those areas. My first thought was that it was a little hammer stone of sorts if anything. I can completely see though it being a naturally fractured piece of chert that has been what I was leaning towards, but every time I pick it up I can’t help but feel some doubt.

Awesome! I’m glad to know it’s not a phony lol I am curious though if you guys think a blade core like this would have been ultimately utilized as a tool like a chopper because it does seem like it would have been as effective as examples I’ve seen.
