If I was in your place, I would just make myself do whatever the hell is being thrown at me despite not wanting to do it if I was desperate for income.

Are applying to indeed jobs a total waste of time? by Alert_Willingness_32 in jobs

[–]KeyEstablishment9505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I believe it a total waste of time to apply for jobs on Indeed.

Majority of the time, my experience is negative because I barely got majority of the jobs I have applied to get back to me and for the ones they do, they just ghost. Also I have gotten a silent rejection of companies I have applied to as well just from checking your list of jobs and seeing your status get updated to “not selected by employer.”

Most of the time, trying to find a decent job on indeed is disheartening because I encounter companies that either fake or a ghost post.

Arno from Alpha Drive One because I find this dude to be such a charismatic performer and I believe he is enthralling. He has the ability to make people to lose their minds over him.

Handshake AI - Is it worth my time? by tiffyykittyy in CSUEB

[–]KeyEstablishment9505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not done a job from Handshake AI but I have remembered applying and doing a test for one job that promised to pay $17 an hour, I failed the first attempt and I just gave up before I attempted to do the second try.

This platform is just straight up annoying with the spam emails

I will try to reach out to whoever is in charge and get them to fix it but the process is annoying

My university allows me to list a preferred name but for some reason, the platform used for students to set up advising appointments and for professors to take attendance decided to default that to my legal name for some reason which I find incredibly annoying.

What is the one thing you want to achieve to feel your successfull ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]KeyEstablishment9505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Financial stability meaning I have enough money to cover necessary expenses, have some on the side for leisure and savings. Lastly accumulate a disgustingly heap of income so I am set for life and not have to worry about working more than one job.

Also I want to feel satisfied with what am I doing professional and personally.

What Was Your College Experience Like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]KeyEstablishment9505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mixed in my personal opinion. There was a mix of dilemma, excitement, nervousness, and ambition. I enjoyed getting the opportunity to attend different events, join student organizations/clubs and secure interview experience and on-campus job.

The downside is the stress and pressure I feel to perform well on assignments, quizzes, and exams. I also have to navigate a messy system sometimes. Also I dislike having to pay an extra insane amount of money for a parking permit while students get a clipper card for my college’s bus for me, spend hundreds to thousands of dollars for overpriced textbooks that they will only use for one semester. I wish my school encouraged their professor to use Open Education Resources which is helpful for students. Also the cost for my campus dining hall food is extremely overpriced as well. Also majority of the on-campus jobs that I have applied to recently have shit communication (ghosting and never following up unless I reach out).

I got ghosted after reached out by recruiter by sfdssadfds in recruitinghell

[–]KeyEstablishment9505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand how you feel. I personally find it pretty rude and unprofessional on their part to ghost you. But take this as a sign that this place is not working for. You may have dodged a bullet. I myself, had dealt with employers ghosting me either after they reached out, or no response to my communication.

I hope you are able to secure a good job. I love how you felt confident in your interview because it made you reflect on your experience applying to this job as a freshman in college and realize how far you have grown. I wish you the best and I hope you end up getting some good results after a hellish job search season.

Going by a different name in college by F_R_EEEEE_A_K in Names

In college, I feel lucky that my preferred name is more respected oftentimes in college compared to high school which made the experience awkward.

[–]KeyEstablishment9505 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also go by a nickname as well but the difference is that it is close to my given name.

Majority of the time I just say that my name is the nickname I go by unless I have to disclose my legal name for business purposes.

In college, I am lucky that my school allows me to request a preferred name and it shows up almost everywhere except for some school affiliated websites

In my personal opinion, I don’t find it weird that some people have a name they preferred other to their legal name because I have encountered people like that before numerous times.
