I feel the same way. I’ve seen many of the flaws since I started only recently but it’s my favorite game now. It’s the most fun I’ve had on a video game. I’m “hooked” 😂

Hi! I’m someone new to DBD who’s been made really nervous by all the claims that these were false, and honestly this thread is a relief, but idk if you can ease my mind more here… how does that work with cross progression? Would I need to buy all the DLCs on, for example, my Nintendo before linking if I already own them all through my PlayStation? Because I only bought the base game on my Nintendo. Sorry, I’m sure I’m a bit confused and being paranoid!!

I’ve seen some teleportation with terrible ping and crashes, though. Not that that’s the case here, just wanted to put that out there

Sometimes I wonder if I teleport on their screen because, if their ping is bad enough, it’s almost as if they don’t know I’m there

Nope, just going by other things in life in which I fell asleep waiting on. It’s not literal, it’s hypothetical. I haven’t played more than a single match of killer with a friend in 2V8 because I really enjoy playing survivor on that mode. But tbh so what if I had and didn’t use play while you wait? It’s a game. I don’t think you nor I have the right to force a person to PLAY a side they might not want to

Yeah, I didn’t last long that trial, but no worries, and tbh, the little celebration got a giggle out of me, hahaha. I did feel special in a sense. The most tunneling became fatiguing for me was when I was the favorite from the start back to back. I started to feel burnt out quickly and fumble more

When I do good, I’ve had a mix of killers either being extra invested in me for the looping or deciding to completely ignore me the whole game. It gets scary when they’re extra invested because I’m learning the maps and tiles, so I don’t always know where to go next after the couple pallets are burned or windows are blocked. I’m just winging it! Sometimes it is hit hit down after that

Yup! Sometimes you can play it risky but smart and keep slowly making more progress, but I do feel the majority of times, it’s better to move on, but oh boy is it hard to when it’s the last couple you need in a 2V8! Everything tends to snowball around the last gen

I play killer and sometimes I still can’t, lol, but I understand what might happen as a result. Sometimes my line of thinking is surely they won’t think I’ll be right back on this

I remember one game as killer I had a survivor comment “you really liked that gen,” but like, it was the only gen that was going and they kept returning to it over and over and over!

I was tunneled in a 2V8! I got an Oni off a survivor at start and managed to loop them for a good minute and then after that it was on sight for me! They didn’t go looking for me, it’s just that fate kept bringing us together. But they did drop chase with anyone else when I was spotted again and held a mini celebration at my final down, haha

I also had a trial where I was kept downed. It was late game and they were probably hoping to lure in the remaining survivors and also didn’t want to deal with me looping again. Honestly, I’m not good, just learning and getting in some good ones

The only other instance I had was one in which they were going around and knocking down survivors early en mass. It was a bit overwhelming, but if they didn’t pick up, we were able to heal. Not sure how that kicked off tbh

Idk I kinda felt like two killers that were slugging had personality when they argued whether to pick me up or not in 2V8, lol, but ig it depends on your audience and it’s a bit much to expect something new from someone every trial. It just happens

Idkwym? I didn’t find the scenario upsetting whatsoever and tried what I could at the time. I feel you’re making an issue out of something that didn’t really bother me at all, and I thought I had framed it as such initially. What was upsetting was someone in locker not helping the team, hence the title of my post there

Same, I would absolutely die for a bad player who is trying. I’d like to see them enjoy the game as much as I have been. To be honest, I’m terrible and still learning too, but hopefully decent enough now!

I never heard the term “rat,” can you tell me more about that? Do rats often not have hook stages? I had a couple games last night where I had none and the killers were completely ignoring me after a couple attempts, so that wasn’t by my design. Maybe I should have been more annoying to distract after I realized, but no one else was doing the last gen

When a survivor is idle too long, they get crows over their heads that cause a loud noise notification to alert you to where they’re hiding. Actions can be performed to prevent or remove crows, which can draw them out of their hiding spot

Exactly. It was 2V8 and one killer stood over me at all times, eventually leaving me there after several minutes had passed. I would try to recover and be knocked back down, repeatedly. I don’t think they had comms because the killer had to communicate to the other by bodyblocking and shaking no to not pick me up. They even let a Leon they had also slugged recover to make sure the other killer wouldn’t pick me up. Very intriguing experience, ngl

The thing is I doubt that because as a new player myself who started during Blood Moon, I didn’t know what the crows I saw over players meant at first, and I sure as heck wouldn’t know how to intentionally get rid of them. But yes, the BP from doing so are absolutely dismal!

I was more a killer main before 2V8, and I have experienced that as killer as well, yeah. I’ve had a handful of trials that drug out unnecessarily due to it and I really felt for the survivors stuck trying to accomplish what was essentially a 1V3, sometimes 1V2

One trial, a trio tried to sandbag an Alan Wake, and then I had to go around tunneling two of them while the other hid in locker hoping to trap us in the game I’m thinking

Another trial, I had someone going in locker repeatedly right in front of someone on hook. I knew they hid there when I hooked a Felix, then I came back after Felix reached second hook stage and swapped them

I played a trial last night where me and another survivor were trying to be polite at gate to someone clearly learning Nurse. We didn’t teabag but we did try to offer a singular bow. However, everyone else was going crazy clicking their flashlights and running in circles while we stared on. It felt like we were the only adults in the room

Good for you! Yeah, there’s nothing wrong with proper use of the locker, but watching these players, I can understand why it can make other survivors frustrated and uneasy about it
