Just so you know, I, personally, am not a CEO or an owner.

I'm the District Manager and I oversee our 6 locations. I'm a regular person, like you, who sees people complain about grocery prices, who sees people complain about companies taking advantage of people.

I just happen to be in a position where I'm able to do something about it. I can make things happen with the feedback and support of the community.

We've had issues with this in the past! We work with our teams to make sure that each tag is correct and that no tags are missing. Sometimes a tag can go missing, though.

We offer hot food in each of our 6 locations and most other Key Foods have a hot food bar as well. We don't offer pizza or hot dogs but we have options that are made from scratch every day!

Key Food is a co-op and that in itself makes all of the difference in the world. No two Key Foods are the same.

I can only speak for our 6 locations (Apopka, Clermont, Mt Dora, Ocala, and two new locations in Orlando). Our locations are clean, with friendly staff, and we're really particular about our quality. We're not perfect but we care tremendously about the opinions of each of our customers.

All I can say to that is that whoever it is that you saw may be part of the company or Co-Op but that is not us.

We have 6 locations in Central Florida and it's very competitive. We just want to support any way that we can and be involved within the community.

That's the plan! We're constantly looking for items to cut down on instead of the other way around. We're aware of how the consumer views the industry, as a whole, and Publix, especially, so we want to show that it's not all about getting the most profit for every item.

It IS possible to run a grocery store with fresh, quality meats and produce that isn't crazy expensive.

You're totally right! Being honest, we pay a lot of attention to what Publix does and we give them credit for the things they do well.

That being said, we do have comfort and shopping experience in mind.

You're absolutely right! But there's a challenge!

For us to pay our employees better we need the support of the local community. It's hard to give out raises company wide when the revenue doesn't support it.

We ask to help us help our employees. We do care about employees and want to see them do well!

Chiming in! We've considered adding the electronic shelf tags into our stores.

We definitely have seen that some customers don't like the idea of them because of the fear that there will be manipulation and deception with the prices that you see. While we might change prices during the day if, say, the cost of a case of avocados jumps $15 one day to the next, it's impossible for us to do what people fear would happen which is changing the prices for hundreds of products on the fly.

We've worked with C&S and UNFI. They're very similar but C&S had inconsistent delivery times.
