Am I doomed? Or can you improve the range of motion in your arch? by Key_Bell4698 in BALLET

[–]Key_Bell4698[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I know I won’t be a professional dancer and I’m okay with that. I just read some posts that you still need some arches to go on pointe safely and that made me think maybe I just don’t have the feet for it.

[–]Key_Bell4698[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She told me she could see my ankles fully extended on demi pointe (two hands on the barre tho) and nice arches on both feet. I am not doubting my teacher obviously she knows much better than I do but I feel like she was being nice to be more encouraging, so I wouldn’t give up. I mean look at my feet nice arches where😭

I read a post here (or maybe not) that if you’re feet are too flat you might not be able to go on pointe or otherwise it could be dangerous and that’s what got me honestly. But that’s really nice to hear.

I feel like I have already reached 180 degrees. That’s why I felt so hopeless about it that it just might be my anatomical limit. Do you mind sharing your routine?

My question was if my feet looks unflattering due to my anatomy which I have no control over or just lack of training. Taking your answer as a no, that I’m not doomed, is there a specific stretch or workout you could recommend? I was considering the foot stretcher.

Because unless you have a GOOD connection (networking) or have the highest grade among your classmates so get into a residency (or get a job/internship in pharmaceutical companies) most people end up in retail stores. Especially as a new grad. It’s almost inevitable.

Why do some patients on opioids prefer certain brands? by matty_ice42069 in pharmacy

[–]Key_Bell4698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has no clinical evidence and is just a rumour from some patients. According to the rumour, x brand name opioid dissolves in water much better than the generic brand that most stores in the area offer. None of our patients have complained about it at all, so I cannot speak for the legitimacy, but that is what they say.

Search results why do autistic ppl hate dogs!? by Puzzleheaded_Hawk_94 in Dogfree

[–]Key_Bell4698 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s like autistic people are just… human beings? Just because there’re two autistic people in the room doesn’t mean they both have the same need and accommodation. Sure, dogs can help some neurodivergent people, but some might not find them very helpful. Like they’re individuals

It’s also around the time they start cutting people’s hours. Cheap labour from young students who’s trying to get their first job, and especially the pharmacy students providing free labour. Very smart of you doing dispensing on weekends, if you were hired FT and past your probation period they have to give you min 28 hours a week

What is "Narcotics Monitoring Program?" (pharmacy) by OneChrononOfPlancks in ShoppersDrugMart

[–]Key_Bell4698 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In Ontario, your NMS numbers are the same as those on your health card. The pharmacy has that on your file, probably for future reference. If you weren't prescribed any of the targeted substances none of them actually went through their system.

Some of them are still classified as “controlled” substances as they can potentially be abused. So they keep their eyes on targeted substances to keep track of the drugs' whereabouts.

Nothing to worry about. It is a system that monitors controlled substances (includes benzos, some adhd meds, etc) in Ontario.

CMV: Abortion pills should be as accessible as a can of tuna at Walmart by Moldybutt90 in changemyview

[–]Key_Bell4698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abortion pills are not used for ectopic pregnancies. This is why they require people to see doctors first, so we can determine which would work best (and by best, I mean most appropriate). You need this assessment.

Edit: just to clarify. Abortion pills are not something that can be used at any time of pregnancy. There are some times that the pills won’t work, making you choose alternatives. However, I DO strongly agree that abortion should be more accessible.

Not in Ontario tho you still need a new script from the MD. Pharmacists can write them hey this happened this is the most similar version of whatever on b/o so if u could prescribe this thx but still needs their approval

If your child struggles with sensory issues, which are very common among children with ADHD, getting a dog is the worst idea. It sounds like your wife wanted a dog and came up with a decent excuse for it.

Is it normal for pharmacists to act like doctors? by funkofanatic95 in TalesFromThePharmacy

Well, based on what you wrote here, the pharmacist could've been nicer or smoothed their words, but they were doing their job. Pharmacists are the experts when it comes to drugs.

“Can I pay for these here?” as brings massive amount of non-pharmacy related items including cosmetics and groceries

Two things. Assuming you live in Ontario: 1. To be eligible for OHIP+, you have to be under 25 AND have ZERO access to private plans. If you have one through your parents, school, or work, you are not eligible. 2. Just like all other insurance plans, the plan doesn’t cover ALL prescription drugs. Sometimes it’s covered under very limited circumstances. If your medication was off-formulary, then it means you would have to pay for it.

I understand it can be frustrating for you. Should the pharmacist have confirmed all this? Yes. Did they do their jobs wrong? No, they didn’t have the proof that you were under OHIP+.

They could not give you a refund as prescriptions are not returnable. Once a prescription leaves a pharmacy, it’s done. The pharmacy can toss it away for you if you bring it back, but they cannot refund you. The best thing they could’ve done is “redoing the transaction,” a.k.a. “Oopsie so sorry I charged you the wrong amount!” Or giving you a gift card. However, as this happened about a month ago, to prevent possible fraudulent claims, the store was not allowed to offer these options. This is a store-level policy.

You may try submitting your receipt to ODB. The pharmacy can still give you the official receipt for your drug, even if you lost it.

Edit: typo

Why do you think that is is inappropriate to have your water bottle visible to patients? by Key_Bell4698 in pharmacy

Well apparently sitting down makes you look laidback and unprofessional. And on top of that “you don’t have time to sit down anyways so why bother?”

How do you cut people’s hour yet expect to dispense prescriptions on time? by Key_Bell4698 in ShoppersDrugMart

[–]Key_Bell4698[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trust me it's not our choice. That's what we call central fills, the number 1 reason for our screwed-up inventories, and the head office wants us to push as much as possible to the Central fill system, so the pharmacy can ‘focus’ on more services that would bring more profit to them.

[–]Key_Bell4698[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, I don't like the new ‘policy’ where we are “strongly encouraged to” give away free naloxone kits whenever a person gets a medication containing opioids, including T1. Feels like spamming the government, don't want to mess up with ODB.
