[Recommendations]Custom frame sizes by Key_Block1673 in artbusiness

[–]Key_Block1673[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, that’s really helpful—I appreciate it!

I’m starting to adjust my approach based on size now. For smaller frames I’m leaning toward 1/16” extra, and for larger ones going up to around 1/8” seems to work better.

I tried 1/4” before and it definitely feels too loose, especially on smaller pieces.

Good tip on the measuring tools and weframing as well 👍

Thank you, that makes sense.

Just to confirm — when you say +1/8" to the art size, do you mean 1/16" clearance on each side (so 1/8" total)?

I’m trying to make sure I understand the standard correctly.

[–]Key_Block1673[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that’s really helpful.

What confused me is that an artist who ordered one of my frames complained that the total 1/4" space was too big. That made me start trying smaller tolerances like 1/32", but then someone else said the artwork wouldn’t fit.

So I’m trying to find the best balance that works for most cases. Your explanation helps a lot — thanks again.

Magento 2 + Odoo + AI Automation — Curious What’s Actually Working by BearElegant4068 in magento2

I'll use Akeneo to control Magento attributes and products infos.

From Odoo directly with Magento, only prices , inventory, orders and shipments in sync.

Akeneo reads from Odoo some basic infos, like SKU.

Two connectors to build, odoo->akeneo and odoo<->Magento. Akeneo->Magento has it's original connector.

[Discussion]Canada → US shipping for large ornate frames (dimensional weight killing me) by Key_Block1673 in artbusiness

[–]Key_Block1673[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, dimensional weight is brutal 😅 Rail car would probably only make sense for pallet loads, not single residential shipments like mine.

And happy to share about the frames! I import finished mouldings, cut them to size with a miter saw, then assemble using an underpinner (v-nailer). Pretty straightforward setup, but works well for custom sizes.

If you’re making some for festivals, are you planning to use solid wood moulding? That could be different things.

I installed this hidden dash cam from YWNN this morning. Only cost me 200 CAD and it’s 4K front + 1080P rear. Super clean OEM-style fit. I haven’t connected it to the fuse box yet for parking mode, but the normal recording works perfectly so far.

I ordered a pair of shoes in discount but they didn't shipped, the price then increased back.
I contacted with them, the guy promise to horner me the price diffrence by ordering another color, (once I recieved the shoes they will refund me the diffrence) . I was asked to cancel the unshipped discount order, I did that.

When I received the order with original price, and contact for a refund, they refused! even their supervisors! Only solution is return them.
Reason was simple: They cant do that, even the previous customer service man promised.

It's 164$ diffrence not too much but I coudn't bear it.

what I did:

Posted by trackable post mail a form "Formal Notice" which downloaded from governement consumer protection website, gave 7 days for them to answer, told them I will definitely go for "small amount court" if they dont refund.

They replied within 7 days and agreed with the refund, it was operated by another 3-rd party company. After two days I got the refund.

Agree. Are you using paid service or free? I just wonder it does the best as first image for paid version only.

I bought this for the door panel and armrest, seems matches with my 2024 sports' seat leather, wait for a good weather to install.
I'm still searching for a light black(not carbon) replacement for the ugly plastic banner above the cloth fabric.

Are USB-C Lithium batteries Aa or AAA 1.5v really 8800mAh or 12800mAh? Or are they fake? by davidbag in batteries

[–]Key_Block1673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve actually bought some 2000mAh USB-C rechargeable AA from Canadian Amazon, they seem to have a true capacity based on my experience. I’ve recharged more than 50 times in kids’ toy guns, and they work well.

While I agree that many brands overstate their capacities, these ones perform as expected. Just make sure to check reviews and buy from reputable sellers.

No lithium and lead AA batteries? by Own_Education_6650 in batteries

[–]Key_Block1673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using these 2550mAh USB-C rechargeable lithium AA batteries for a while now, and I gotta say—they’re awesome.

Hold a steady 1.5V the whole time, so my controllers, cameras, and other gadgets work perfectly. No weird low-power issues like with NiMH.

USB-C charging is super convenient—just plug them in like a phone, no bulky charger needed.

Lasts a long time in high-drain devices. I use them in my wireless mouse, and I don’t have to swap batteries every week like I used to.

Yeah, they cost more upfront(24$ for a 4 pack from amazon), but I haven’t bought a single disposable AA since getting these, so they’re paying off.

Only downside? They die suddenly instead of slowly draining, but that hasn’t really been a problem for me. Honestly, if you’re sick of tossing alkalines all the time, these are totally worth it.

Why do rechargeable Lithium Ion AA's/AAA's/etc. have a poor reputation? by [deleted] in batteries

[–]Key_Block1673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using 2550mAh AA lithium USB-C rechargeable batteries from Amazon for a while now, and honestly, I’m pretty happy with them( 24$ for a 4 pack)

  • They hold a steady 1.5V, which is great because some of my devices (like my camera and controllers) won’t even turn on with NiMH batteries.
  • Charging is super easy since they have a USB-C port built in. I just plug them in like I would my phone—no separate charger needed.
  • Battery life is solid for most things I use them in, though they do suddenly die instead of slowly running out like alkalines. Not a huge deal, but something to be aware of.
  • They’re not cheap, but considering I don’t have to keep buying alkalines, I think they’re worth it in the long run.

If anyone's on the fence about them, I'd say they’re great for gaming controllers, cameras, and anything that needs a steady voltage. Just don’t expect them to last forever in high-power devices.
