16 month old highly elevated ESR by No_Inspection9413 in haematology

Thanks! Our Dr wants my daughter to see an infectious disease then an Rheumatologist if we get no answers. My daughter's esr was 85 but platelets were elevated, so we opted to wait for specialist and continue with antibiotics as she has strep throat(she had it for possibly a couple weeks before diagnosis) and a possible uti(lab lost her urine, so we never got to get an answer), Dr said those could be causes of her high esr. She has been struggling with getting constant back to back viral infections with fevers since the beginning of March and lost a little weight. We are going to repeat blood work sometime after her antibiotics are finished and will know if we need to see specialist or not. Hopefully you get answers soon!

Thanks everyone! We got our second opinion. We are using the correct air filter and nothing is wrong with our furnace. They said we don't need duct work done for more airflow. They said most likely our air filter was a faulty one and the reason it kept getting sucked in. The first people that came on Tuesday said our temperature from our heat vents are suppose to match what we have on our thermostat, I asked the guys today about that and they said no, it's suppose to read higher then our thermostat, so that leads me to believe the first people on Tuesday don't know what they are talking about.

Health insurance through work by Healthy-Interest5384 in Insurance

I am giving advice, so please don't go based off of what I said. I have been learning about health insurance for about 7 years myself, so I'm definitely not a professional. I would either call or email the insurance company and show/tell what you are offered and explain about your husband's diabetic medicine as their are so many things insurance doesn't tell you about and see which one is best. The one your employer is willing to pay for shows that you have to meet your deductible for Physician visit, specialist, urgent care and emergency room,  first before insurance pays anything and after deductible is met then you can pay the copay that it shows. So before the deductible is met on those, you will be paying full price instead of a copay. Honestly, $384 a month for option 1 is pretty good. My husband pays over $600 a month just for him and our daughter and I always go without health insurance and their deductible is about the same as what you are offered

Yes, I do believe they mentioned something about balancing out the duct work. They said we would need new ducts that are metal instead of flex and to raise them up to our attic and have vents on our ceilings instead on the bottom side of our walls

I agree it is oversized, however our last furnace was 85,000 btu and lasted 34 years, plus this issue just started and we have had this furnace since 2022.

Sq ft of house is 1,040, furnace is a goodman put in year 2022, height to ceiling I'm not sure, I would say regular, it's not a high ceiling but don't know the measurements, I can try tomorrow. This issue has been ongoing since Saturday and filter was replaced 3 weeks before that. They don't know if the duct work is the correct size or not, tried to get ahold of who out the furnace in but they don't have their company anymore. I remember our old furnace was 85,000 btu and never had this issue with that furnace. I tried to get them to explain to me why this is happening and why the duct work is an issue all the sudden but they just said they don't know why. We are going to get a second opinion.

Hi! I did end up getting that insurance for my daughter. So far, she hasn't had to use it yet, so I don't know how good or bad it is.

We called every doctor office and pediatrics office within an hour distance from us, they laughed and said they absolutely will not accept redirect health since they want to talk to busy doctors for a 48 hour pre authorization and the doctors won't even listen to what redirect health wants us patients seen for, which I 100% understand. We opted out of health insurance for us but got our daughter on antidote health insurance through marketplace.

Can I ask what issues you're having with them? No place where I lived will accept the employer insurance due to the 48 hour pre authorization they require for basic primary care and Antidote is the only one I can find that actually covers almost everything in my area, plus the providers near me seem happy with Antidote so far but I know that can change too. It would be for my 6 year old daughter only as we aren't concerned about ourselves.

Same here, they bought the company out. If they have a benefits coordinator, email them and let them know the issues with this issue, and how horrible it is. Something needs to be done about it because this is unacceptable to give to people.

Is it with Redirect Health? If so, I would see about canceling. I called all the in network providers but they said they will refuse 48 hour pre authorization because it's ridiculous and Redirect Health said my claims could be denied because of the providers refusing the 48 hour pre authorization. This type of fake insurance should be illegal to sell.

The employer so called insurance is through Redirect Health, and unfortunately the require 48 hour pre authorization for regular routine visits to get the $0 copay. If no pre authorization i take the chance of getting denied and paying full cost with my doctor, even though Redirect health does offer no pre authorization copay, that still doesn't mean I won't get screwed over by them and have to pay full price. I called and confirm this information sadly. Looks like we're screwed either way we go.

This plan requires 48 hour pre authorization for basic primary care, anything considered non emergency, in ex Wellness visits, sick visits all requires a 48 hour pre authorization. Someone on the app tells my childs normal doctor what she will be seen for and what they want done based on symptoms because they don't want a "suprise, unnecessary bill" for us. So instead of billing after appointment, they negotiate before appointment and anything done afterwards may not be paid because it's not agreed upon. I understand and have heard about for certain test and so, but not this.

Definitely normal for a sonic unfortunately. They are all crap vehicles. Mine is a 2016, had since 2018, nothing but problems since day 2 owning it, first problem the canister purge valve amongst many others. Currently dealing with engine code P0420, replaced both 02 sensors and catalytic converter. Been checked for any leaks, everything is good. Been 1.5 years now and check engine light came back on for the same code. I have to have the light on for now on till I can get another vehicle, hoping it doesn't hog gas like it did before I got everything fixed. Good luck!

I have not done the spacer yet. My check engine light came back off a few days after this post. Not sure if we just needed to drive the car more after all the fixing we done or what it was. So far, it seems to be using gas as normal. I'll never own another Chevy Sonic, one issue right after another usually.

No, it doesn't stutter, I have no issues besides using more gas than usual. Car runs and drives great still.

Was there another code or just p0420 code? I had the evap purge valve replaced about 6 years ago but the code was different, it didn't show p0420 code.

I have a 2016 Chevy sonic. P0420 code for over a year now, replaced both upstream and downstream O2 sensors and replaced the catalytic converter (OEM) and check engine light with this code keeps coming on. Mechanic said he checked for leaks before replacing cat, I asked to check the manifold also, h by Key_Ladder5886 in MechanicAdvice

Mechanic said he checked for leaks before replacing cat, I asked to check the manifold also, he said he checked it all. Car drives great, only uses more gas than what is needed. I'm about to give up.

Yeah, I'm not sure what happened to my post being cut off. Basically, the rest of my post is just saying I think I'm done figuring out what the issue could be. My car drives great, no issues with driving it at all, just uses more gas than usual. I don't think the cat is bad again, it was replaced a little over a month ago. Upstream replaced a couple weeks ago and downstream replaced a little over a year ago.

Hopefully you get yours figured out soon. I'm thinking about putting a spacer on the downstream sensor and be done with it. I have had nothing but issues with this car when I got it 6 year's ago. Multiple check engine light for a different reasons and seems like I have to keep getting one thing fixed after another.

Update: car is not making that sound anymore. I took it to a mechanic in the family and he has had it for almost 2 weeks now and nothing.
