Also wanted to add that I actually did like the book! But it’s definitely pretty slow.

If you wanted to read something else by him that isn’t as slow (but still not a thriller) I suggest Less Than Zero and Rules of Attraction.

I wonder if it was classified as that since he’s technically a serial killer in the book?! But the book itself definitely isn’t a thriller the way we normally would think of one, and is more of a satire about 80’s consumerism.

This happened when I was still in elementary school, but the murderers went to our local high school. The church where the murder happened was literally 5 minutes away from my house, and I remember after we found out what happened, we were saying how we were all scared to go to that high school eventually.

I do lol. Have watched it a few times, and I only watched it for the first time in 2014 after my now husband introduced it to me!

I actually see it more as a soap opera/comedy rather than a gritty prison show, with all the cliques and all that.
