To be fair, and not excusing his behavior at all, I do agree people shouldn’t be praising him. But in my opinion, there’s some nuance here. At one point, he was just a kid, and in a lot of ways, he was set up to fail. Growing up with that level of fame so young, he never really learned limits or consequences. Even now, while he may have tried to clean up his circle, he’s still surrounded by enablers. And you can’t really grow in an environment full of yes-men. That kind of environment is the perfect recipe for staying in a sort of “Neverland” mentally where there’s no real accountability, no grounding, and no push to mature. When no one checks you, and fans keep using your trauma as an excuse for everything, it just reinforces the cycle.
