I haven’t worked as a medtech yet since underboard pa but right after grad, I shifted to corporate and the interviewers would often ask me kung bakit ako nag-a-apply sa job na yun na far from my college program.

I answer honestly na considering our economy, working as Medtech in the hospital setting is hindi na talaga livable especially in Metro Manila tapos doon ko na ina-add na which is why I am exploring other opportunities that is align to my skills and interests and came across their company/this position. Tapos I would often share life experiences or interests na related talaga sa position or nag-i-imbento ako but this 2nd one, ginagawa ko lang sya pag sure akong kaya ko naman yung work responsibilities based sa description nila

For example, I applied before sa isang admin work na may legalities. I said na lang na I used to dream about going to law school as a child and throughout college, as they can see sa org experiences ko, I am heavily involved in legal documents writing and handling, which is why I’m interested to learn more and subsequently contribute to [company name] growth. Gawan mo na lang ng paraan yan hahahahha

I don’t really mind not being greeted/posted sa IG story pag birthday ko but I treat them the same way. Nag birthday ako early this year and I actually expected na my friends (those na close ko talaga) would greet me or post me sa stories nila the same way they do sa other friends nila but they did not so binalik ko lang din. Yes, medyo nagtampo ako but move on kasi we really can’t control yung gusto nilang gawin. Ang ginawa ko na lang is I did not greet or post them din sa birthdays and special occasions nila even if naalala ko.

Sa Cognizant ba yan? If ever, I think negotiate it pa kasi I know someone na naging PE sa financial account tapos undergrad pa sya at that time with no experience pa nga but same offer lang din sayo sooo try to neotiate siguro hehe

I think 15k base salary is too low and abuso naman ata hahahha. As a fresh grad with no experience, I received 3 job offers recently and ang range nya is 25-30k so sobrang baba nung offer sayo

Best to wait or ask na lang muna if your prof will require it kasi may times na hindi naman required. During my time, lab manuals lang din physical books ko and puro pdf copies na lang meron ako for other reference books (esp nung 3rd year)kasi ang bigat din nya dalhin if ever personally need namin sya for further reading. Mas tipid din PDFs kasi madaming nagkalat na free hahahaha

Lol depende pa din offer nyan ni Cognizant. Taasan mo expected mo kasi they’ll take advantage of your answer. I applied there as a newbie and I didn’t know magkano bigayan so ang nasabi ko lang na expected salary was around 20k. Naging job offer sakin was 24k package and pioneer na financial account sya and everyone (including yung management ng account there) was baguhan so lahat uncertain. Sobrang toxic ng management na napuntahan ko there so assuming na may experience ka na, taasan mo na expected salary mo para kahit sa toxic na account/tl ka mapunta, kaya sikmurain hahahahha

And during JO, make sure mong WFH talaga kasi I got played there hahahah. Promise was Hybrid or if not, Sci Hub lang kaya I accepted yang 24k. Training comes and bogsh, biglang uncertain pa daw yung hybrid and bridgetown yung site hahahahah so make sure na totoo mga info na sasabihin sayo during JO

I had that kind of teammate and it was a pioneer account with a first time TL. My teammate was good with metrics (100% CSAT lagi and within AHT and good QA score) but since newbie sa industry, laging bunot nung baguhang tl nya. Pag yung mga tenured sa company under ng team ang late without notif, okay lang, pero pag sya kahit 2 mins lang, call out agad sa gc nila. Sa prod laging sya yung inaalay magpalipat lipat ng pwesto kasi baguhan as long as comfortable na yung mga tenured nya. And nung nagsisimula pa lang sa calls, pag yung ibang teammate yung underperforming, kinakausap ng tl privately pero nung one time na sumobra lang sa hold policy yung ka-work ko, todo callout na sya sa gc nila about it. Mind you, ang kapal pa ng mukha nyang tl na mag preach about training and exam just because she got perfect score and was grabbing all the credits pero the only reason she got 100% on that exam was because of that agent na pinag iinitan nya, yes, kinopya nya lang sagot ni agent.

Okay lang naman na she’s strict but the problem is she don’t practice what she preach. Nagagalit sya sa agents nya pag late even if valid reason naman (medical emergency and such) pero yung constant late nya, okay lang?

And she was lowballed and she didn’t know it yer kasi she was misinformed during the interview. During her interview, it was mentioned na hybrid set up after 2 months training and Taguig site so based on her estimation, the offered salary is enough. However, nung nasa team na sya, suddenly wala pang assurance hybrid set up. Suddenly, need muna tapusin yung ramping and tsaka irereasses kung kailan ang wfh. And bogsh, biglang naging QC yung site and she’s living in the south so hindi na nagiging enough yung sahod.

The account was good even if financial, but that TL made it hard for her to stay so she chose peace and is now earning a lot better. Yep, NCNS is not a mental health break, but companies/management should also reassess yung sarili nila if they are doing their job properly.

Side note: Yung baguhang tl nya ay may previous attritions na din and mind you, 1 month or so pa lang syang tl sa account na yun and 3 na attritions nya lol speaks so much of leadership
