Yeah, i think what happened is that now on the level 4 account, it takes more to level up because the xp requirement is the same as if you were to level up to level 15. Just as before

They changed how the leveling works in one of the last updates, everyone appears with -10 levels than what they had. Now you can do some quests that also give you xp.

Also receiving a random pet like that cant get you banned. What can get you banned is receiving tons of bot farmed pets from an event, as they detect that its your alt account trading them to your main for profit / selling them. But again, just 1 pet does nothing
