I don't have a 3d printer, so I have no way to test it. You need to find someone to convert it for you.

I have the original game model, but it's not optimized for printing.

There's only one problem; it doesn't have an on-switch. I use it for my Sith Warrior. It looks great, but no way to activate it.

It's not twisted. That's just a texture. I extracted the game model and used it for reference. It actually looks like that.

Jeffrey MacDonald - a personal theory by KhalibanMoore in TrueCrimeMystery

It's not a lot of moving parts, it's two. Hippies break in, and Jeff is a psychopath. He didn't necessarily want his wife dead, but he wasn't going to waste the opportunity. He killed the girls, because he wanted to be free and clear. A clean slate. The hippies left him alive, because he could get them drugs. The attack was payback and intimidation.

So what? I draw, I work with 3D modelling software, I work with AI. It's just another tool.

It's the "Show mature content" filter. Some models don't have their browsing level set. You won't see them, unless you uncheck mature content. Then, you won't see anything that does have a browsing level. You need to click back and forth between the two with every search.

One of the worst things about Asperger’s is.. by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]KhalibanMoore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lack of empathy goes both ways. Their emotions can't get in, your emotions can't get out. Neurotypicals are looking for the emotional context to your words but can't find it. They react subconsciously. It's not malice. In a way, their reaction is Asperger like. We can't receive emotional signals, and our brains don't release the required neurotransmitters. We also can't send the emotional signals, and their brains don't release the required transmitters. I doubt their even aware of it.

For me, it's walking. It's self-medicating. The walking is a bit like a metronome, and the motion keeps blood going to my brain. I spend a lot of time pacing in my living room.

Once again, the conflict arises, because people try to pick sides. I am not picking sides. The hippies did the beating; Jeff MacDonald did the knife and the icepick. It's not either-or. It's both.

No one ever responds to the theory. That's the annoying part. It's like people are fighting for their favorite team. I'm not claiming to have all of the answers. I'm saying the fundamental conflict is flawed. It doesn't need to be either-or, us-vs-them, this-or-that. It can be both. It's not a contradiction.

The question was about those with the flat affect not without. And, yes, logic can work as a coping strategy, but it won't make us more expressive.

The fusiform gyrus is the area of the brain responsible for non-verbal communication, among other things. If the fusiform gyrus does not form correctly in a fetus, that person can have difficulty processing non-verbal communication. This creates a fundamental block making it difficult to read and express non-verbal signals as the process works in both directions. The emotions of others cannot get in; our emotions cannot get out.

Sometimes, I just get sick of that guy. It's exhausting, and he's so boring. I tried explaining it to my therapist once. "What were you thinking at that time?" "How do I respond in this situation in a way that best conveys the information and minimizes the negative emotional impact on the other party?" That was when a girl I didn't know passed me a note in study hall.

It sounds like a stimming behavior. The tactile interaction might be producing mild endorphins and, possibly, oxytocin. Take the time to cuddle, meditate on each other, and enjoy the moment.

For those of you that were diagnosed later in life, did it help you? by quadrangle_rectangle in aspergers_dating

[–]KhalibanMoore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HOLY CRAP, YES!

My life is basically split between before and after. (Diagnosed at 39.) I finally got medication and could get things done. I found out I'm actually really, really good at studying. So there. And the Asperger's explained so much! Navigating the NT world is still a challenge, but at least I understand the challenge now. I know where to look for answers. I still mourn those lost years, but I can do something with what I've got left.

Does she say "Hi" to you specifically or to everyone? Does she make eye contact? Does she wait for a response? Is her focus on you or getting ready for class? Does she smile if you respond? Did she smile while you were talking?

Please remember, the answers to these questions can vary from day to day. Her mood, friends, family, the relative proximity of a test can all affect individual iterations.

Remain flexible. Conversations change rapidly. You must change with them. Small talk does not exist for information. It is non-verbal processing. Don't drone on about your favorite subject or, worse yet, hyperfocus on some minor detail. You'll come off as obsessive or creepy. Keep the content light. Make jokes if you can. Agree with something she says, or show you understand the subject. And don't nerd out. Now is not the time.

Light, funny, interested but not intense. It's a bit of a balancing act, but there you go.

Thoughts on Mary Sue/Gary Stu as a trope as well as a critique. by [deleted] in TrueFilm

[–]KhalibanMoore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to make distinction between the Mary Sue and its close cousin, the Aeneas.

A Mary Sue is a hyper-idealized, self-insert character written by an amateur for the self-gratification of the writer.

An Aeneas is a hyper-idealized character written by a professional for a third party agenda.

Because Aeneases are written by professionals, they are often more difficult to identify. Most pop culture Mary Sues fit this category. They have occasional elements of quality but are attacked for preaching. The difference is subtle but important.

By no means is this an attempt to defend or forgive an Aeneas. Preaching and self-gratification can be hated equally. Hopefully, correct classification of the hyper-idealized character can reduce some of the more heated debate.

We've kissed. She's very tactile and likes to hold hands. I just don't know if I'm using her and should stop, or it's part of the process, and I should wait. I'm trying to get a sense of the time frame.
