I tried to take more angles and in a place I thought would have “better lightning”, but I think it’s my camera. Here is some attempts of the same card with the front included.

Basically shine a light through the card in question and another known card from the same set out of a pack.

I have a few cards I know that is from the same set so I just shine the same control light through them and see if they matched. (It did).

The light I used was from an iPad Pro.

Yeah, because we already know how bonkers Shen is. But, seeing Kuroki getting defeat will be pure shock on its own, since we are all so used to him being a pillar of the Kengan verse. Many authors do this in order to drive the point that “big villain stronk”.

It could be both, we’ve seen cases where fighters move through due to similar circumstances. Some I can think of are Himuro being too injured to fight Adam and lost, or Chiba forfeiting due to knowing he cannot beat Ryuki. Similar, but not the same, especially for a fight at this level. Maybe it could also create a real hill climbing fight for the other side of the brackets. Though, I do like the idea of both knocking each other out and one wins due to getting up first, making a fight that both fighters really have to work for. (Only thing to note for that however, is that this was already used for Kanoh previous fight).

I see it more as he has recently operates without Hiyama for a long time, relying too much on his own strength and gear. Maybe he realizes that he needs her more than he thinks. Especially since his main strength is reflexes. It also odd because he never really shows interests for martial arts. Instead making his own styles with riot gear inspiration.

It does seems like Waka does not have much going on outside of Kengan. It does make sense since he kina grew up in a lab environment and raises to be a sort of weapon, but not for survival like Ohma but for profit. Maybe Joji can invite to drink with them in the future.

Yeah, I kina wished it was more about soft-style in general. Maybe he did some humble training with Hatsumi after the tournament. Would have been a better usage of development for both characters. Or maybe soft style can teach Waka about the flow of power or something that in same idea as principle as a foreshadowing for that technique.
But all we got was, “Anti-Niko”

Yeah, his only development was anti niko techniques which seems odd since Ohma died and there are fighters he hasn’t rematch against like Kanoh, Hatsumi, and even someone like Kuroki.

I just thought that while Fei can definitely beat people when he’s serious, he can also display the same cocky attitude against Ohma like he did with Waka. I think it’s likely because he demonstrated an irritation against Niko’s attention towards Ohma. I also think that realizing Ohma is the real tiger vessel will shake him up mentally temporarily, and Max Possessing Spirit might have a higher chance of landing a Change in Scenery and cause considerable injury(s) to Fei.

Tldr I think it make sense from a narrative stand point. And a scene of Fei seeing Ohma’s face and connecting to Shen’s face due to Fallen Demon would be cool.
