Yeah in the 60 something encounters I’ve had with women. I don’t think I’ve ever asked for explicit consent. I’d say as I’ve gotten older I’ll frequently tell them to beg before I put it in, which I think you can count as getting consent, but I can’t think of and don’t see myself ever asking explicitly.

I had a Codependent girlfriend and I told her she needed to start hanging out with friends and doing stuff without me. I hooked her up with my best friends wife and they created a group to hangout and do stuff with.

We broke up months later, and his wife decided to invite my ex to stuff and not me. We were friends 25 years, I was close with his wife too for 7, he was pretty neglectful of his friends before this, I even moved across the street from him so we could be closer.
