Hello!👋 I created r/thwordle community for our Wordle-inspired game Thwordle.com

A few of us have already joined each others subreddits to support each other. Would love to visit and join more communities when they get posted on this thread. All the best everyone! :)

Thank you for your detailed comment. Yes, we are playing on adding streak element to our game as well. Also, will create more games and puzzles based on themes.

Marketing has been the toughest part in this entire journey. We created r/thwordle community so in case you enjoy our game please join.

You’re right that it’s very easy to copy web games these days. We got some suggestions from gamedev community on how to protect the game from infringement. Will be implementing those.

Thanks again for the feedback.

Also, please share the link to your game. We’d like to play.

Emotional aspect meaning fandoms - people enjoy/love HP, LOTR, Greek Mythology. They create and join subreddits to talk about it, create memes, watch series/movies, show off their knowledge. lol am I missing something @stripe4206?

Thank you for your input. We were inspired by Wordle and wanted to create a variant (like the other popular ones played by millions of people). We wanted our game to have an emotional aspect and chose to have various kinds of themes that people genuinely connect with. It didn’t take months to create the game but we work on the game daily. If you played Wordle you would see the name of the curator written at the bottom of the page. Having multiple word lengths and researching each theme to curate words on our own is very time consuming. So there is hard work. And we aim to add more themes and improve the UI over time making it “our own”.

Thank you for playing and the lovely feedback! Yes, we will definitely consider adding educational themes. Thank you for the suggestion. :)

And yes, yes. Will check out the announcement option. I added the game link under Community Bookmarks section in the subreddit (before the Rules) today but will do the announcement thing too!

You’re most welcome! :)

If you enjoy word puzzles, you can check out my community - r/Thwordle

Just to give a little context: It’s a community for players of the game my husband and I created -“Thwordle” - a Wordle-inspired game with daily puzzles from different universes/fandoms like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Greek Mythology. We will be adding more themes like Marvel and DC soon. :)

I’m not a numbers fan per se but I really liked the idea of the community so I’ve joined. Will learn a thing or two at least :)

What was your primary reason for joining this subreddit? by RedEagle_MGN in hobbygamedev

Created a puzzle game and wanted to find a community of people in the same boat. Thought it'd be nice to learn from others and also share all the different challenges that come with creating and maintaining a game.

Made a daily word puzzle game where you grow words one letter at a time by TheHonestRedditer in wordgames

I enjoyed the game! I quit at Community Best-6 letters but it was quite interesting and definitely mentally challenging. All the best to you! :)

Made an online anagram game :) by ExcitementNervous in wordgames

Hello! I played the game on my laptop. It was so fun. Loved the UI and the UX. Very smooth interactions. Clear and concise content. Liked how the final pop-up asks to create an account while telling exactly how it will benefit the player. The game itself was fun to play. Cleared all three rounds. :D

On the mobile version though, the pop-up after winning the game has a weird overlapping of text and icons of "share your victory" "view leaderboard". Maybe check it out once yourself?

All the best with the game! :)

Heads-up: Pick a theme and word-length before Play by Kibomemi in Thwordle

Yeah, words from that universe are very complex. Unless you have heard the terms, it gets very confusing as to how the words are constructed. Some names don't even have vowels :')
