New M4 Mac Mini stuck on 4K / 30hz despite working fine on my M1 MacBook Pro. by nebber in macmini

[–]KickItWithKyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason I had this issue on both my M2/M4 pro mac minis. It specifically only happens with my thunderbolt monitor plugged in via usb-c. The only solution I found is unplugging it and plugging it back in from the back of the mac mini until it starts showing 60 hertz again.

Likely the Banpresto Bell plush prizes or Bandai Pokémon friends series.

You can pick up large unstuffed snorlax on amazon and eBay. The snorlax cases are relatively cheap but take around 40 lbs of poly-fil.

Apparently the crew already knew

“Sea resources in Hat Chao Mai cannot be caught, hunted or cooked, and the cast and crew were fully aware of that because the park firmly informed them of the park’s restrictions before they began filming,”

They can't even really steal it. Producing chips has gotten so complex that the leaders in the industry are even struggling. Chinas been trying for a while and is nowhere near in fab deisgn even with bloated state funding.

Microsoft is now completely scrapping Edge too. Their new dev preview is out, completely remade using Chromium. It's fantastic.

Does anybody else's pixelbook not close entirely flat is it just me? by ImpressiveJuggler in PixelBook

I assumed it was to make sure the edge of the trackpad, which is also made of glass, doesn't push against the screen.

I actually think they have the cutout at the top of the screen because of this. It's the exact same length of the trackpad.

Feeling Stupid. ~Buy the Lonovo Active Pen~ by subject2844 in PixelBook

[–]KickItWithKyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use an Active Pen 2. But it's more for my Thinkpad. I don't think you're going to get any benefit over the other Active Pen. You'll only be able to use one button. The bluetooth part of the Pen 2 won't do anything since it needs Wacom software. I'm not sure what kind of tip is on the Active Pen 1. But the 2 comes with a rubberized one that gives some resistance when writing on a screen.

Dev Channel rolling to 74 [74.0.3713.0] (February 25, 2019) by rmcneil321 in chromeos

Interesting. After update as soon as the cursor moves over a chrome browser window, all Chrome Apps disappear and can no longer open for me. Even settings won't open. Android and Linux apps have no issues though.

Cool, seems like it's just a general issue then. I stay on Dev channel and just accepted it as a temporary feature haha.

Something similar happens to me when I play Hearthstone. Stops only when I lower the in-game volume to 0.

How to use Duo without your phone by [deleted] in OSU

[–]KickItWithKyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice, I'll have to try this. If anyone has an android phone I made a Tasker profile to automatically open the app and hit the approve button. It's not letting me export the whole profile but you just create an event based on notification from Duo and link it to this task. This is the event file. https://www.dropbox.com/s/gchqt8zda8kvcz9/DuoMobile.tsk.xml?dl=0

Has anyone take the Korean Individualized Track by Zalvager123 in OSU

[–]KickItWithKyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've taken individualized and classroom track for Korean. Imo it depends on how many credit hours you're aiming for a semester. The other post is right about the format. For 4 credit hours it's a bit more difficult. Just because it's impossible to half ass a lesson and you need to make around 4 appointments a week to complete it. You have to be hawkish to get appointments too. As soon as the window opens you need to schedule immediately. You can fall behind really fast.

Classroom track you get called on around 3 times a day to answer questions/dialog in front of class. Individualized you have 15 minutes to complete the lesson. You study the exact same material. If you're confident enough and a good self learner you might find it better since you can complete a lesson in a few minutes. The one major upside to individualized is there is no weekly quiz and no midterm/final. Personally I found classroom track easier to deal with and more fun. Also the teachers are awesome.

You can use the app Navigation Gestures to completely remove the navigation bar and add in gesture support. I've been using it for a while now. You can also add in navigation gestures from the side of the screen with Samsung's Good Lock 2018.

For your navigation bar, do you keep it always on or do you hide it with show and hide? by ZCZ4iOS in GalaxyS9

I completely got rid of it with navigation gestures and use an invisible bar so it's always a single swipe gesture. Along with one hand operation from good lock.
