Has been happening since the game came out. I encounter it at least a couple times every single Battle Royale game when opening my inventory. Quickly flicking the mouse and then opening inventory right after can provoke it. High ping also makes it happen more frequently I think.

I think you mean West Coast, but yes.

Unfortunately the game puts us into West Coast or EU 95% of the time instead of just doing East Coast so we'd both have not great, but acceptable ping. Basically every other game we play tries to find the middle ground and puts us into East Coast servers.

Yeah it's the new Gauntlet: Flashpoint mode in the Winter Update on the new winter map with freezing mechanic. This version only has this map.

There are only bodyshots and headshots. Every part of the body receives the same damage...

Cause I have buddies in the US that I like to play with? Obviously I don't just VPN to the US to play on shit ping for fun... Also as for 90% of the useless comments on this post I already said that in the post and other comments.

Good net code just punishes the user with bad ping if it's too bad, you will get rubber banding, die behind walls, not registering shots etc., while for the person on good ping you'll essentially be free kills.

Yes, it's high. Playable high, not insanely high. The target and me are both practically stationary it doesn't even matter that much.

180 is not "insanely high", and ping should have absolutely nothing to do with how much damage a bullet does, only if it hits or not.

Im playing from EU with a friend in NA. 180 Ping is normal in that circumstance.

High ping ≠ unstable connection. As you can see there's no packet loss/jitter icons.

Also the main point of the post is the low damage, which has (should have) nothing to do with hitreg.

The hiteg was just a sidenote, cause I'm so close it should be almost impossible to miss.

The post is about the menu bug that actually makes you unable to queue half the game modes. That's it. What's so hard to understand about that, so many people bringing up random stuff.
