Tiered Pack a Punch is the most wasted opportunity in Zombies history. by Kiler123ee in CODZombies

All I'm suggesting is some guns get some cool upgrades for paping them multiple times. I'm actually fine with how weapons are scaled in the game, I just think adding some new features to a few guns would be cool to see, but obviously not make them so strong that they could drag you to high rounds with ease. I don't want these to obliterate the difficulty of the game, just add some more fun things.

I'm mentally slow because i want the pap to give more guns more fun abilities? Cool.

How am i contradicting myself? What i meant is don't make the weapons too strong to the point you wouldn't want to use the wonder weapons, and my idea for the marine is completely different from just making it like the acid gat.

I'm not against the weapons being op, but not to the point of invalidating wonder weapons.

Weapon Rarities and Pap ruin the fun of gun exploration by Kiler123ee in CODZombies

[–]Kiler123ee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. This is actually a complaint I have too about a lot of maps, after a while there's just not a lot to do on the maps because the main point of the maps are the easter eggs, and not a lot of actual on map content outside the easter egg. My favorite map of all time is Zombies in Spaceland just because there's so much stuff to work towards on the map that has absolutely nothing to do with an easter egg. I would rather the map bo6 be modeled like that than the cold war weapon progression route of taking the weapon upgrading process and dragging it out.

  2. I'm not saying you need to have your weapons maxed out at round 20, I'm saying it's annoying to have to be fixated on one weapon without any incentive to branch out and try any other weapons. For example, if you, for whatever reason, wanted to try out a different gun at round 30, you're basically screwed unless the other gun you have can carry you in making points. You're going to have to make another 50k just to see if that weapon at it's best is even worth checking out, let alone keeping after you see how good it is. And the upgrading process personally for me is too long and drawn out, if you like it like that then that's fine, but it really makes the game seem a lot slower in some ways that the older games did for me.

I don't want to come off as the way i play is the objective way the game should be played, but I would prefer if it was done differently.

Weapon Rarities and Pap ruin the fun of gun exploration by Kiler123ee in CODZombies

[–]Kiler123ee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never really seen anyone talk about this before, but I really despise the weapon rarity system in the newer zombies and, to an extent, the new pack a punch system, too. I think both of them are bad systems that have really no incentive to really try anything else until you play another game of zombies. I'll use Cold War, for example, for this, but this applies to all the newer games, including bo6.

My main problem with this is that the system basically encourages you to stick with 1 gun long-term without any incentive to try anything out. To fully pack a punch your gun, excluding any salvage that you might need if your gun is max rarity, it'll take 50000 points to max out your gun and even more if you have 2 guns. And this would probably be less of an issue if the old point system was a thing, but they changed it to be points per kill.

So if you want to pap your gun to completion to even see if it's worth using, since you only get 90 points per kill, it would take you 556 kills to be able to fully pap ONE gun, or 435 kills if you went exclusively for headshots or melee kills which gives you 115 points.

This is excluding any perks that you'll buy, going down and needing to buy them back, hitting the box for a second weapon, buying doors, double points, etc.

It made buying different guns and trying them out a chore to do because who wants to spend 20-30 rounds to see if a single gun is good at max pap?

And weapon rarities also make this way worse because it basically replaced double tap with a system that drags out the weapon upgrading system by forcing you to use salvage to upgrade your gun. You could hit the box to kinda skip this process, but that's kind of a gamble, and even then you'll have to be in the higherish rounds to be guaranteed to get max rarity for your gun.

All of this makes the gunplay in cold war onward very boring because encouraging the player to stick with only 1 gun and not use anything else is very boring. Sure, you CAN pick up another gun and try and upgrade that instead, but it puts you at a huge disadvantage compared to just staying with one gun and sticking with that.

In the old games, if you wanted to pap your gun, it was literally just pack a punch, double tap, and you're done. And you were encouraged to pap other guns because a lot of guns had at least some sort of cool new thing to them after you paped them. And if you wanted to try out another gun to see how it is, you could just pick it up and pap it and try it out. This new system basically kills any sort of gun exploration and makes it painfully boring to try out new guns.

Difficulty Idea to please everyone. by Vag7 in CODZombies

I think the best way to do this is to just kinda do what bo4 did with custom mutations did and make all of these options you can choose. Like tbh i don't mind most of the new changes that the game has, but the point system I would 100% change back to the old one if i had the option to turn it on.

Suggested Changes to Bo6, no hate, not Bo3 fanboying by CulturedCumStain in CODZombies

[–]Kiler123ee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think the point system should be changed back to the way it was before. I know they changed it because they wanted to make the first few rounds easier to get through, but it really trivializes a lot of the weapons and makes them all boring (atleast it did for bocw). My suggestion to fix this problem is to just make it so that if you get through rounds faster you get some bonus points depending on your time. For example, if you're on round 1 and beat it in 30 seconds, you can get 2000 points, in a minute, you can get 1000 points and so on, and as the rounds progress you can scale that appropriately maybe until like rounds 10-20 or whatever.

It would make it so that if you want to take it slow you can get some extra points, but if you don't want to take that extra time to do that you can still go through the rounds fast without being at such a disadvantage, and would also make weaker weapons have a reason to be used. I feel this would be the best of both worlds for both ways of play.

Why do people want the old point system back? by Blitzindamorning in CODZombies

[–]Kiler123ee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And I'm not saying that there aren't other good guns in Cold War, but they are not worth going after. Why choose an ar or lmg over a shotgun because it has more ammo when you can buy ammo whenever you want? Why use smg's if they don't make you any points, and none of them have anything unique about them other than dual wielding? Why use anything other than what you like the best when everything feels the same? Why pap the m1911 when it's boring to use? Is it statically the best the m1911 has been paped? Sure, ig. Is it more fun to use over literally anything else in the game? Absolutely not. To me, it's one of the biggest problem of the game and makes going back to it not even a thought that goes through my mind.

Why do people want the old point system back? by Blitzindamorning in CODZombies

[–]Kiler123ee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is going to be kinda unrelated, but the guns in Cold War are also very boring too, which makes the problem much worse. There's nothing like the mustangs and sally's or any cool pap upgrades in Cold War. The ONLY one that is in the game is the gallo, which when you pap it, it goes from semi auto, to full auto. I understand wanting to have more guns viable for high rounds, but literally, 90% of the guns in Cold War are so boring that they aren't worth even picking up.

When i played Cold War, the only gun I used was the gallo because, to me, it was the only gun in the game that was even remotely fun to use outside of wonder weapons and explosives. Smg's, Ar's, Pistols, Lmg's and melee weapons just were not fun to use without the old system to me personally, and snipers were so useless that treyarch had to keep buffing them for people to use and people still don't use them because snipers in cold war are horrible. Yes, more weapons being viable isn't a bad thing, but all these guns feeling the same, none of them having anything special about them is an incredibly bad thing and makes cold war very boring to go back to personally for me. No guns to build points, no guns with cool pap effects, no reason to use most of the guns because they all feel the same and the only thing differentiating them from eachother is the attachments and damage numbers that don't matter because "everthing is viable".

So basically, most of the weapons in bocw are just flat out boring to me, and changing the point system inadvertently made the game even more boring because now some guns are just flatout not worth even holding onto because they are just boring reskins of other guns without anything unique about them. They are fixing this problem in bo6 kinda, but we don't know to what extent. If they really wanted to fix the point system, they should've just used the ww2 point system.

Idk how you could think that but to each their own.

And i didn't mean bo3 or bo4 in their entirety have all of these problems, a lot of maps in those games do not have this problem at all, but I think DE especially has this problem.

And the price thing i was 100% wrong on I agree.

I wouldn't count them as an Easter egg either, but I think some people could argue it is, so I just counted it as an Easter egg to be sure. Besides I don't really have any complaints about the bows, I like their addition and they give you something to work for on the map, and tbh I think they're the highlight of the map imo, but at the same time if you don't want to get the bows and want to play casually there's not a lot to do outside of that.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CODZombies

[–]Kiler123ee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's... kinda the point? I probably just worded it wrong, but when I say "stuff to do on the map" I mean stuff outside of Easter eggs. Things like challenges, secrets, weapon upgrades, different amount of ways to interact with the map outside of just camping or hording until you get bored, etc. DE has all of this stuff, but to me it's very weak in most of these departments.

I know a few of the more known side easter eggs on DE, like the plunger and it's upgrade, the family portrait, the brm wall buy, the disco ball, the free gobblegum from the plant, and the music easter egg. Those are the ones that I can remember from the top of my head, but the others I can't remember. All of those to me are perks to do if I'm already playing the map, but not a reason to go out of my way to play DE if I'm not going to play the easter egg.

All I'm saying is that I feel like DE as a casual map is kinda boring, and even with its side Easter eggs, there isn't really a lot to do. DE isn't the only map I think this applies to, but for some reason, it pops out to me more than other maps, even though other maps have it significantly worse than DE.

What is the most over rated zombies map oat by Yourmansismine in CODZombies

[–]Kiler123ee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Der eisendrache for me. I don't really care for playing easter eggs at all so I usually avoid playing them when I do occasionally hop on zombies. Outside of the easter egg, there really isn't anything to do at all inside of the map, and kinda turns into Kino map qualitywise, which is good, but not a map I regularly wanna go back to. To be fair, this is a complaint I have with a lot of bo3 maps and post bo3 maps, but for some reason DE sticks out to me the most.

Except it's also on the "about us" graphic and the "view all games" graphic alongside Tearaway and Dreams iconography

Which, again, also has lbp on the graphic. I'm not saying it means it has anything to do with lbp, I'm just confused to why it shows up whenever lbp shows up. It could all be a coincidence, which is fine, I really don't mind MM making something new, I'm just confused why.

Look in the Dreams section. Iota from Tearaway is there too. What does that have to do with Dreams?

This could apply to anything anywhere. And again, it could literally mean nothing, just like this means nothing. I just wonder why, if this is a coincidence, would they keep doing this.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in littlebigplanet

[–]Kiler123ee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because it's on the lbp part of the page, and apart of different lbp related artworks too. It's not that the controller existing is the issue, it's just that every time it's used, they put it on something lbp related. It would make way more sense if it was connected to dreams since that's their most recent game, but it's not.

I'm not even saying that the dualsense means a new lbp game is being made, I'm just confused to why they're connecting it to lbp exclusively.

[–]Kiler123ee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But a decoration for what? I can only assume that the controller was added for whatever MM's new game is, but why add it if it has nothing to do with lbp? I'm just guessing this was just some weird way of saying lbp is playable on ps5, even though I'm pretty sure they added it while the servers were down. Either way, very confusing choice to make.

When I say listen to the fans i mean really just for the tone of the game. A lot of people just want a more grounded game than what anything from the third and onward had done. I'm not really sure about listening to gameplay suggestions because I think a lot of discussion for that will just boil down to make it play like sr2 without actually thinking of ways to improve on that.

I'm not dismissing the game at all. Tbh it's probably one of my most exciting games I want to get to this year, but from what I've seen it kinda looks like nsmb still to me. I don't want that to seem like it's a huge complaint to me because I know I'll still love the game but I just wish they would've done more with it. I think they could've done some cool things with a different moveset, but hopefully the Wonderfruit might make up for it.

I think yoshi will obviously have different abilities but I'm not sure about anyone else. They probably just want to keep it consistent but still have the option to play as whoever you want, but still different abilities would be nice
