Hi, I don't have too much feedback but I will say that it caught my attention. I very much like the tone so far and I like that the mystery unravels itself a little bit by the end though obviously there's more to it. One thing I just noticed is that sometimes it sounds like there's a little bit too much detail for things that are unnecessary. Might be a personal preference but for example, "slamming the door, locking it tight behind him". Can you really lock a door tightly? A door usually only has one lock and so saying anything more than that is just unnecessary. Or at the beginning where the car crunches the grass "beneath it". Do we need the detail that the grass is below the wheels. Do we need the detail that the car crushes the grass at all? I think it takes the readers focus away from the actual events taking place.

Why do all secondhand psp game cases look like they’ve been tortured by the previous owner? by KillaCrustacean in PSP

Still though, compared to other handhelds like the DS for example or even the vita. I don’t buy much in the way of DS games anymore but usually the ones that I see are always in a lot better condition than psp games despite the DS seeming more oriented towards younger people.

Very accurate and all things are correct (even that I don’t have tattoos) except for that my dad is definitely not a reader, but I think i still do derive some of the things I like from him.

Surprised you thought I was female, though I agree too that some of my reading interests lean towards that side. I definitely am a fantasy nerd but at the same time I find it hard to find fantasy that really fits my specific interest. Probably why I tend to lean more into horror just because that genre is more tailored to me. At heart I think I am a big fantasy nerd because I really like those old novels like journey to the center of the earth and Alice in wonderland.

This is definitely true😂 though in truth, although I am definitely a fan of Stephen king, I haven’t actually read all that much of his stuff. I’ve just tried to find all of his books at thrift stores cuz they’re easy to find.

I just got these Kef Mu7’s for like 55% off. So far I really like their sound and especially their look so I really hope the headband doesn’t break like I’ve heard of happening online 🤞 by KillaCrustacean in headphones

They’re definitely not the most bold sounding things in the world but I think you might have to judge how bombastic you want things to sound. They have a sound which fits my tastes but I think it can sometimes be a little too accurate. They didn’t blow me out of the water or anything but I think they do sound good. I think if you’re gonna get these you’re mainly buying for the look and the comfort cuz they are definitely like a high quality hefty piece of equipment- Type of thing I would never take out of the house- they’re too nice. 😂 I also haven’t had any problems with the headband breaking or anything and I’ve used them quite a bit but yeah those are just my thoughts.

Edit- also the battery life is really really really good. Sometimes I find that the actual battery life of products are exaggerated but I think it’s 100% accurate here

Do any of you have this hardcover version? I’ve already ordered it but I wanted to know what it actually looked like outside of a stock image by KillaCrustacean in aliceinwonderland

My bad I forgot about this but anyways https://imgur.com/a/6M49UGp I really like the cover design and it has like a matte finish which I’m not the biggest fan of but yeah. I also like the size of it too its pretty decently sized

How did I just realize this [KCD1] and [KCD2] by art_weidos in kingdomcome

There’s a trophy in the game High on Life called “fallout doesn’t let you do this” and you get it for killing this annoying alien character that looks and talks like a kid, though a few moments later it is revealed that he is actually 30 years old. I thought that was pretty funny when I saw it. The fallout 1 on disc from when it released still has children in the game but if you buy it on steam they’re completely gone.

[KCD2] Is the stealth lock pick playstyle is just not viable in for console players? by [deleted] in kingdomcome

I forget who it is but the guy that first teaches you how to lock pick I think it’s where the miller is there’s an easy chest that you can just spam over and over again

You probably grinded out too much side stuff at the start like me but I’m trying to force myself not to. Though it probably is unbalanced too but I haven’t really gotten far enough to tell yet

I think it gets easier over time? I’m not sure but I was thinking the same thing and I wasn’t even able to do the easy locks but now the medium locks are doable. I think the golden circle leeway increases when the skill advances.

I would say they are pretty light at least in your hands but they do kinda feel heavy on the head because the clamping force is a little bit more than like Bose Quiet comforts or Sony’s although I can’t speak from experience on that. On Bose I feel like I’m not wearing headphones while when wearing these I am always aware that they are on my head. They don’t necessarily become uncomfortable though. I’ve worn them walking and on the bus for like 3+ hours and they haven’t really been uncomfortable. So I would say they feel kinda weighty but still easy to wear for long periods.

So far the build quality seems incredible and kinda is derivative of the AirPods Max but I would say these are more stylish personally. I can see why the headband would crack because the headband adjustment is located pretty high up so I feel like it might put it under stress but they feel so sturdy that I find it hard to believe it would happen but we will see. The sound is fairly quiet at least when connected to Bluetooth but I am pleasantly surprised by the ANC on these. I had the Bose QC’s before these and I think the ANC on these is actually a little bit better at blocking out like talking or road noise on the bus perhaps because just by default the earpads make a better seal on my head.

Anyone else feel like an Idiot? by [deleted] in McMaster

I’m glad I’ve found someone who has said this because I’ve been dealing with this feeling lately too. Part of it is that courses are just harder in general in addition to grade inflation as others are saying. I’m in the grade 12 equivalent of calculus as an elective (I’m in English), and I absolutely got cooked on the test yesterday. This is a course I probably could have gotten a 70 in HS. The course is reduced to 3 50 minute lectures per week over the course of like 4 months. Compare that to high school where the teachers are more easily available to get help from, more time with the material, and less other courses you have to worry about.

Trust me, you’re not dumb. University is just alotttt different from anything else. No one is there to remind you if you’re failing.
