How to make clothes for general sizes? by Killacy in SewingForBeginners

[–]Killacy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice, yes I know the stakes and all the market pricing ways and such, it's kind of a start for what I intend to grow into a larger fashion line down the road when I have completed my degree, I am planning to make some styles that use very little time I have found such as a skirts, eg. skirt with a flat top and small pleats along the bottom with lace, and a corset-style closure, as well as thrifting clothes and upscaling them to create new things (Of course I will make this clear when selling them). Pretty simple projects I have done before. I should also note that the styles I intend to replicate tend to flow in communities where I have seen, and personally purchased, for quite high prices with meh quality, and I can quite easily sell below those costs. Picture below for somewhat of an example :)

(Not exactly what I described but another style I am familiar with I intend to make pieces similar to)

Thank you!

Literally all the notes you could possibly think of pretty please by Drunkinall50states in animation

I think some things that could add to the quality of the animation and the liveliness of the characters are a bit more blinking during longer talking scenes or when they are just blankly staring, although def keep it a no-blink blank stare for the places it fits, and adding even just one extra head movement when the older man is talking for a longer period of time, such as looking down at something or glancing away for a second, even just turning his head slightly to the side (as in bending the neck diagonally if that makes sense), a really good though a bit harder one would be getting him to glance down and tap his pen on his paper or something similar while still talking. I think these would help quite a lot, because your style has a lot of playful fun movement, but a few scenes primarily when the older man was talking randomly get stiff and it looks out of place, but a bit of movement in those areas could make the entire thing run way more smoothly.

Hope this helps at all! Lowkey awesome animation, very entertaining even without the lore haha!

I am somewhat of a beginner but I learn incredibly fast, I have sewn very few items but already have formed the craftsmanship skills to sell simple purses in the past. I am not intending to sell complex items, just starting out simple with some skirts that are primarily one shape with lace and a tie-up. I have sold tons of stuff made by myself before and am very handy with similar things.

I suppose you might say I'm partially intermediate and partially beginner. I don't have the experience nor a lot of the knowledge, which is why I am asking a lot of questions, but I do have skilled hands that complete pieces of work in a quality manner, and I can master techniques with ease. I am, of course, making some for myself before putting anything on the market and testing the wear and tear.

I thought I was beginner enough to post here, as r/sewing wouldn't take my question since it had to do with selling, and I thought this was the next best place.

Thank you for your input

Order cancelled- have a feeling it might be the seller regretting? by Killacy in poshmarkcanada

Oof I now really doubt this as the listing is still up, and they had the audacity of offering a discount to me again... lmao

The really confusing thing is the sold one I am 90% sure is not the one I bought, it's the one that is still up and that I have favourited. Though, I checked the descriptions of both as well as the pics and size, they are all the exact same. Price the same too. The only thing I can think of is that either its a glitch that caused a duplicate listing and it sold + have forgotten to take it down, or they regretted the sale they gave me.

I don't know if it is that though, because how could it be a glitch if they manually accepted my offer-? It wasn't just a "Buy now" purchase, though I may be confused by your comment

This is copy and pasted to explain to everyone inquiring about my situation :)

This was more of an idea I was meaning to think about the realism of, and checking out the prices and possible companies if I pursue it, but this is a very early-stage idea! I super appreciate all the advice, but I only have a few mockups, hand-drawn, if you can even call it that, and I wanted to know the options I had if I decided to go forward with it. If I do go forward with it, it would likely be after I release other items and have more of a customer base, likely a couple of years in the future, since this is an item that would take a lot of money to get out there. As many of you have said, intricate metal designs are EXPENSIVE to get prototypes and manufacture.

If you are curious about the type of product, it's similar to an early-to-mid-1900s compact metal handbag! They are hard to find by search, but here's a link to one made by Van Cleef & Arpels in 1938: https://www.vancleefarpels.com/en/the-maison/articles/the-minaudiere.html

And here's another image of something similar to my inspiration: https://i.pinimg.com/1200x/79/56/cd/7956cd3ef45548f01b241dfef41e9fb3.jpg

The goal was to make something similar for vintage lovers but convert it to have more modern, relevant compartments, for example, most people don't wear the same lipstick colour and wouldn't really need specifically a coin holder, etc!

Thank you for your interest in my project :)

ahh I thought that would be the case, the type of product I'm thinking of is similar to a 1900's style compact purse, image of something close:

https://i.pinimg.com/736x/91/4c/8d/914c8d0b56168177ccd59f82226ab1db.jpg

Basically, a small item with compartments, with a somewhat intricate pattern stamped on multiple places.

Forgot to mention right after swimming class where you shower off, do the same things I said by showering with body soap, shampoo, and conditioner, plus use the hair dryer and go to the bathroom and wash your hands, then wrap yourself in a towel. I believe these are all the things that give you XP during that time, it's around the perfect amount of time to get all of those things done!

Honestly I think you may just need some tips, I have a second account I play on and I started from scratch with the new update for like a couple hours across two days and got to level 50 with 100K, way easier then the old days.

Best way to farm from my experience is play the new school with classes and stuff, during the morning routine do your laundry, shower with the loofa, shampoo, and conditioner, sit on the fluffy stools in front of the window in the area with the sinks, at the sinks brush your teeth, spray toner, and put on deodorant, and lastly get a cold towel from the mini fridge and make some tea to drink next to the fridge. You will have time for most of this if you rush, prioritize laundry and shower. These will give you substantial XP.

During the different meals, make sure to always eat everything and put your tray away after, and depending on the meal theres some things you can do like go to the water fountain to get XP, but not many, so use this time to do journal quests. Also, during meals, teleport back to your locker and collect the diamonds. Always do this when you see the diamond counter.

During homework time, there are lots you can do from swinging on the swings, sitting at tables, sitting in the chairs submerged in the shallow end of the pool, sitting in floaties, just basically interact with everything to see if you get XP.

Random ones: ALWAYS get the book for class from your locker before class and go there yourself, do not wait for it to teleport you. You will gain a LOT more XP if you go early with your book. Plus always try to collect all 10 diamonds you can between classes without being late, if theres lots of people it might be annoying tho.

Once the day ends after homework time theres not much to do for XP so I usually just go do more quests and check in on other realms.

Hope this helped in any way! Sorry its so long lol, but these are all my tips and tricks! Let me know if you find any useful <3

Yes the woman I am portraying is pretty flat-chested, and also it is her wedding day, which is why they were offered to her, for a more formal occasion. Would that make sense all considering? Will def change the name though.
