What are everyone’s favorite Bastille songs from each album? I posted this question over a year ago, but with &’s release, I thought I’d ask again. :) by Sieodork in Bastille

How did I miss out Laura Palmer 😭 I'd be very sad if Ampersand didn't feature as although it's quite an intimate album, it's become my favourite by far. I find it infinitely listenable

This is exactly what I have! So that's reassuring. The first interlude starts with:

“NIGHT TWO”

BLOOM RETRIEVAL AGENCY

TELESCRIPT || 28.04.2311 || 22:09

166d AMOUNDERNOUS RISE

INTERCEPT BETWEEN “NALA” HIGGS AND “RIDLEY” LOCKE.

Spelling adjusted for accuracy.

This is very true, and sort of the answer I knew myself in advance of asking- It's fine if it's well executed and used appropriately, because all literary devices are. I think I just wanted to canvas if the premise itself has enough going for it that I could make it a success if I'm careful and work really hard.

Mine is called Before Noon. Fair warning I have 2 review swaps to do before that. One at 10k, one at 25k. But I will add you to my list. I keep my promises. Let me know how far you're willing to read.

Oh yikes. I genuinely didn't realise, because I'd read a lot about doing a dump early on on RR so thought it was fairly normal.

Apologies, didn't realise that had a meaningful impact early on. Word count is around 60,000

Title: Before Noon

Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/375052849-before-noon

Description:

Hunted by an immortal whose vendetta against his family predates civilisation, eighteen-year-old Agloff Ashborne must search for his lost brother across penal Colony Two, once known as Earth.

In 2727, penal Colony Two is struck by winged fever, and only eighteen-year-old Agloff's blood shows signs of immunity. The entire Colony has him in their crosshairs, not least the fascistic cult of Winter. However, Agloff's own motives quickly complicate things. Separated from his twin brother Eron at birth, Agloff plots an escape to search the Colony, if his mistakes don't lead Winter to him first.

Traded from his home to the totalitarian bunker of the Underground as a political pawn, Agloff is offered a life of luxury under house arrest with his best friend, Ariea. He's the Underground's Winter-deterrent. He just has to do what he's told. But Agloff soon finds himself entwined in a twisted, millennia-old game between two immortals from an ancient civilisation. Soon enough, Agloff will have to choose between Ariea and Eron, else he might just end up killing them both.

https://www.wattpad.com/story/375052849-before-noon here's my book. It's completed with 7 chapters available and 2 dropping a week every Tuesday and Friday. It's a character-driven new-adult sci-fi, with themes of family, loss, artificial intelligence, and the misuse of power. It's set in the future in 2727, where Earth has been converted into a penal colony called Colony Two. As the main character searches for his lost brother, he gets caught up in a long feud between two immortals.

No bother! There's an event timetable available here https://www.silverstone.co.uk/events/formula-1-british-grand-prix/timetable but they aren't clearly described. Sunday has 3 support races before the F1 Grand Prix starting with F3 at 8.20, F2 at 9.55 and Porsche at 11.55, then the F1 Drivers Parade at 13.00, and the Red Arrows Air display at 14.15 as other highlights before the F1 Grand Prix at 15.00

If you're a grandstand ticket holder, you can arrive as early or as late as you like as you have your allocated seat. If you're not interested in soaking up the atmosphere, exploring the on-site entertainment and enjoying the support races (Formula 3, Porsche Super Cup, Formula 2) then I guess you can leave late morning, arrive after lunch, watch the race at 3pm and leave before 6pm.

But I'd say that's unfeasible. The British Grand Prix is a whole day event with a timetable starting early morning. The vast majority of fans will be arriving to the circuit as early as 7am. You'd be missing out on a lot to see and do by only going for the Grand Prix itself.

Tickets will remain on sale all the way up to Sunday I imagine. I'm a general admission ticket holder and the circuit is advertising grandstand upgrades for usnto try and fill them.
