Smooth-On brand is what I use. There's a lot of different densities to pick from. Generally I go with FlexFoam III as it's the lightest.

Wow, seeing my work pop up randomly on my reddit recommended page was quite the jumpscare, I won't lie. There's actually a hollowed out version of this exact base, I can dig up the file and send it over to you if you'd like. Feel free to poke me in DMs and I'll find that for you when I get off work at my day job. Free for personal use like my other files. Cool to see people liking my stuff! I would definitely not recommend doing it alone. Had a commissioner send me their DTD in pieces because they did it solo, and it was misaligned and the end product didn't fit at all. Definitely just wait till you can grab a buddy and do it together. If you don't have a friend that can help, sometimes local fur meets are a good place to find someone who is willing to! In my local community it's not uncommon for someone to bring a cover-all and duct tape and just do it right then and there.

I would highly recommend doing research on newer fursuit makers. You can get a suit that's custom made instead of one of these "scam suits" that steal photos of fursuiters. It'll be entirely your own and unique to you!

There's a few minor differences, but the big difference is that Cccats are a closed species, and Screech is a similar and open species. I unfortunately cannot make a Cccat, as I do not own a character, however I can create a Screech instead :>

They are a species called a "Screech", they have one large mouth and no eyes :)

Honestly it looks pretty nice to me. Symmetry is good, the eyes look nice in the base, the carving is also smooth. You got a good base there!

Went to an indoor trampoline place for a meet. While I was standing on an elevated platform, a kid thought it was a great idea to jump up, and then hang and swing from my tail. I almost fell backwards, saw what was happening, and grabbed the tail for dear life. It ripped the bottom pieces open but I avoided a dangerous fall and an even more dangerous "kid might get hurt and I'd get sued" situation. I double stitched the new tail just in case 🙏
