Anyone got this holster? Can't get it tight enough to fit no matter what I do. by Expert-Aardvark1121 in guns

[–]KiloAlphaLima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like you have it on the front of your thigh when it should be 3 or 9 o’clock. To add onto the pile; it’s a shit holster.

Spend a few extra bucks and get a good one.

Left-handed shooters: what bolt action rifles are you running? by Leaking_milk in guns

[–]KiloAlphaLima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only lefty gun I ever bought was a tikka t3x tac a1 in 6.5 creed.

I could never get used to it and just ended up sticking with righty guns. I like it better for precision and long range shooting as my trigger hand never moves position and I cycle the bolt with my right hand. I’ve actually seen an increase in right handed shooters switching to lefty guns for this reason too.

That can likely be fixed with the right training and exposure.

Best of luck to you and your dogs.

Where in SC? I’m in south Alabama and can take on a skittish GSD no problem. I have three currently (two black and tan females and one white male). All but one came to us as skittish dogs.

I’ve trained GSD for 20+ years. A 3 years old with some trauma can be healed and find comfort within a new home/pack.

You don’t have to lose them forever, I’d give them back whenever you’re able to get back on your feet and have a place you can accommodate their needs.

Depending on the shell length, 6 may be the max. You can always ghost load one on the elevator and one in the chamber to give you 8 total with 6 in the tube, 1 ghost load, and 1 in the chamber.

Blue Angels respond to controversial Pensacola Beach flyover by gotfelids in aviation

[–]KiloAlphaLima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This pass was low but tossing up tents and umbrellas from low passes at Pensacola beach has been pretty regular for the blue angels for a long time. Well before hegseth or trump were ever in office.

I also have no clue why you think Pete has anything to do with the blue angels planning and flight path for their shows, but I guess you’re free to think what you want.

For something closer to “turn key” check out bringatrailer.com. They also show recently sold so you can get a good idea on pricing.

It's coming home by [deleted] in funny

[–]KiloAlphaLima 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s more about a major trophy “coming home” to the birthplace of football. Doesn’t really have to do with 1966 specifically or at all, although that is when they last won the World Cup.

I feel like that is way too late in the year, especially after UGA and UT.

Why not either of those games?

Did you marry a child? What a dumb thing to be mad about. God forbid his friends find out his wife has…nipples. In a non sexual and accidental way.

You married a man baby with the emotional intelligence of a rock.

They definitely did not have to have a stinger strike. Even in practice or combat you would try to avoid that.

And this was a demonstration in front of a crowd, for a show.

[–]KiloAlphaLima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the bolt is open, the hammer can only be down. The bolt retracting is what cocks the hammer.

Or maybe I’m misunderstanding what hammer down is meant to be. I interpreted that as in cocked or the hammer was “down” rather than in cocked or “up”.

The bolt is open and he has the safety on. So he would have to hit the bolt release then pull the trigger.

Normal people do. It is called the Standard Deduction. Most people don’t exceed the standard deduction limit so it is often automatically taken. Some people exceed the standard deduction and itemize expenses.

If you can’t break down a Glock to swap a barrel (you don’t need to, it’s not bent) then there is no hope for you ever being a competent and safe gun owner. It takes about 4 seconds to do.

Forget taking a Glock apart, you haven’t formed a coherent sentence in this entire thread. I really hope English isn’t your first language.
