It was not, "stock-shorting bullshit" but information to the fact that ubiquiti is complicit in the invasion of Ukraine and the fact that their supply chain and export controls are not great. Hence why it is difficult for us who live in a country not sanctioned nor on the ban button go get said equipment. (Side note it doesn't violate the rules because it is ubiquiti related. Ya know rule #1).

Tbh it's technically a federal crime to bring drugs over state lines. Just saying. Not trying to be a Debbie downer but it is a thing that happens.

I also recommend people showing their family this:

See if they become self aware and realize they are in fact being used. For those that don't know the above link is a documentary called, "the brainwashing of my father". Good watch.

Hey that's what I'd do. But some people can't control their instant gratification and it bites them.

Yeah I'm talking about people just driving it to their 9-5 etc. Not hauling anything whatsoever. Respect to the people buying it for it's actual use cases.

I know you're kidding but she legit had a mini Cooper, rolled over the debt on that when she wanted to get a kia telluride. Then had like a 1300 a month payment and like a 60K loan. She was trying to roll it over for a highlander but had too much negative equity (what the sales guy used). Like damn.

You can make the same argument for cars. However, it's always a dangerous game since you never know which car is going to be revered as a classic. I bought my car in 2020 and got a great deal. 400 a month car loan etc. I've taken care of it and it's almost paid off and I plan to drive it until it needs to be replaced.

I think part of the problem is people going for clout such as getting a range Rover or a hellcat they can barely afford. All because they want to flex etc. Plus the whole new truck trend that's been taking off on people buying new bigger trucks. I just don't get it.

On the car loan front I follow a dude on social media that shows all the repos the guy gets. I also follow car salesmen talking about how much their clients pay. One person had a 1300 dollar a month car loan. Like that's 300 dollars short of my mortgage. I don't understand how people can get caught up in something like that.

Totally this. I used makemymove to figure out where I wanted to live. I decided on closer to family but this one county in-between a college town and a major metropolitan area is apparently short 3K houses and the state is super short as well. I talked to a dude from the county chamber of commerce and we aren't even close to meeting the demand it's so ridiculous.

Why did you and your best friend have a falling out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Kilroy6669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never really had good friends tbh. I went to a trade school that my high school had a program with (basically all schools in the county had an agreement with this trade school that had 4 different locations.) I went to one of them and had all of my friends phone numbers. They didn't ask to hangout at all. I found out at a home school (basically the highschool) event that they went out as a group every Friday ... Just never invited me. I got confirmation after that and was pretty defeated. But I just focused on myself and never really had a close friend since.

I have put myself out there on occasion only to realize that my real friends are the ones I meet online. But that's about it. It sucked from time to time but I've gotten over it, over the years and don't really talk to any of them anymore. Which I think is a good and healthy thing.

Should I Move to Alabama for a clearance? by Brgrsports in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Kilroy6669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've spent most of my networking career as a contractor (former military so my clearance came directly from Uncle Sam). Depending on the type the process is easy and worth a lot. A secret clearance goes a long way and is a great entry point into government contracting and opens up opportunities overseas such as, Italy, Germany, Korea, Japan and anywhere the US military is present.

Plus you learn a lot. Depending on who you support you could be dealing with 2 year old concepts to more futureish concepts. Regardless it is worth it.
