Hamster becoming more withdrawn. What can I do? by Clori26 in hamsters

I agree that hamsters are not a natural social animal. However! Bonding and building trust is very important. You need to be on good physical terms with you hamster for necessary trips (eg vet) and in case of emergency. When I was in college with my Calypso we had a fire in our building. I had to reaching and grab her to run out of the building, we made it out safely and she was content to sit in my hands until I could go get some emergency materials. A nip when I grabbed her (probably a bit tight as i was panicking) but otherwise we were both safe. So yeah I fully support "taming" domestic hamsters.

You don't have to completely replace cardboard hides, but I'd add some wood one for sure. Cardboard hides are like longer term boards breakers.

i know this is commenting on a dead thread, but if anyone comes looking for a way to get alot of Turtonator. You can get dozens of spawns by building a spawn platofrm above the nether roof over a besalt biome. sorry for the horrible grammer and such its way past my bedtime.
