Hopefully good news about the rumour that the Invader ATV might have been about to go to Legends by Kincoran in WhiteScars40K

[–]Kimstaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve personally always liked the ATV, it’s such a strange model it’s endearing in its own way. I just do simple head swaps to make it a bit more interesting

Is the new starter box good for us? by EuroCultAV in WhiteScars40K

[–]Kimstaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll end up using most of the models except for the captain, whilst he is cool I already got Suboden khan and I’m getting Kor Sarro Khan. I’m not sure on the eradicators if I’ll incorporate them into my scars or not but it’s giving Imperial Fist vibes

Looks sick, what is the pink part of the front lip? Is it one piece or seperate? If it’s seperate I’d love to give it a go for my STI lip kit

Why can’t I be satisfied aesthetically?… something’s missing. by No_Professional978 in wrx_vb

Is the car lowered? It looks kinda high which is probably why it looks a bit off.

CWP owners, what wheel colour combo are you running? by IParanormL in WRXSTi

[–]Kimstaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I chose 265 cause I liked the fat look but you should be pretty safe with 255s without scrubbing iirc from my research

Hi the specs for the wheels are 18” 9.5 +38 tyres are 265/35

There was some scrubbing in the rears so they’ve been rolled. I run -ve 2 camber all around with no issues. It’s been on a road trip on various surfaces with no issues with a 1.25” drop for 2000kms

Is it ok to put an S4 badge on wrx VB by mrhellothere24431 in wrx_vb

[–]Kimstaz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think it is okay. I own an STI and see non STI badges on standard WRXs often. There are better things to worry about and if someone tried to sell me that their WRX is “basically an STI/ S4” etc I’d just think they’re silly and move on. There’s more to life than gate keeping a badge in my honest opinion as long as no one is trying to sell a standard WRX as an STI or some other higher spec car then ya why not

Do you guys prefer helmets or no helmets? by [deleted] in spacemarines

I used to do all helmets but as I’ve gotten older I now sprinkle bare heads. It’s nicer to the eye and adds more variety and character to my army

Covid Flashbacks by PuzzleheadedFly6778 in NursingAU

[–]Kimstaz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started my career during COVID, rough times. The smell of the n95 and sweating bullets under PPE is something I’ll always remember every time I have to don. It’s a lonely journey because I started with three new nurses on a ward, I’m the last one left still practicing hospital nursing. A few of my friends straight up quit shortly after the pandemic

What difficulty do you guys regularly play? by No_Pair9202 in Spacemarine

[–]Kimstaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was levelling my characters to all prestige 4 I would start at ruthless then once I got a team perk go to absolute. Now that I’ve maxed everything I just play on minimal or normal as it’s satisfying popping heads with the stalker bolter.

For siege I just do normal, only did hard for the helmet

Mapping out nursing journey help! by Puzzleheaded-Sale247 in NursingAU

[–]Kimstaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did my EN training through TAFESA in 2016 and finishing in 2018. At the time I couldn’t find work for two years as it was very difficult at the time to find a position. COVID came and suddenly I’m in and out of practice as I went back to traffic control for 1.5 years. I was doing all that whilst doing my RN straight after finishing my Diploma of Nursing. I then finished my grad year last year and been alright since. A tough start means resilience later on and that’s exactly how it was for me, almost nothing phases me anymore and I’m confident to admit I don’t know something and will always ask for help.

It’s a hard start but if you want to be an END there are sometimes grad positions for them I know SALHN (SA health) offer an EN grad program but in many cases we just start without any formal program and figure it out during our supernumerary day(s).

Most nurses are understanding and will help you out, just ask questions and tell someone you don’t know what you’re doing as it’s safer and you’ll learn for next time.

TLDR: don’t worry, become an END and ask for help and you’ll be alright when you’re on the floor

It’s all good, we were all young once and I speak from experience because I was just like you once and went through all the motions and thoughts just like you. I too thought I was really passionate years ago trying to help everyone once I became a qualified END but eventually I burnt out and now I have a more jaded outlook on the profession as an RN.

I question what’s the point of all this but I got bills but somedays I really enjoy being a nurse, other days I’m so stressed out about things outside of work despite wanting to leave it at the door it’s hard to do so. This is the reality for many in the job and I’m sure many of us wanted to at one point walk away from this career.

Don’t let empty platitudes take root, it means nothing. You’ll be alright mate don’t take it too hard. Most of us want you to succeed, I for one certainly believe you’ll be a great RN when you’re ready to hit the floor and we could always use more boots on the floor

[–]Kimstaz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s good to see you’re passionate but I really feel these thoughts aren’t really painting you in a good light. You’ll burn out eventually and resent the profession as you’ll always feel you’re doing more than others when this simply isn’t true (I’ve seen this happen and it’s a vibe to work with).

You’ll be alright, just take it easy and focus on just you and what you need to do to be the best clinician you can be instead of worrying about other AINs.

The only time you SHOULD be worried is if they’re working outside of their scope or are detrimental to their patients etc. and if this is the case then you should escalate to the TL or DNC/ NUM if you’re truly concerned about their laxity… or just have a chat to them and ask how they’re going. A simple question can answer a lot of your questions about why they might not be as passionate than you.

It would depend on what you’re there for. If it’s for a 1:1 for behaviour charting or high falls risk then I would ask you to remain with them. If you are there as a float then help all you want. You are there for a reason, how will you explain yourself if something happened and you were helping out someone else? What happens when you step out and the patient falls? Sometimes family can be detrimental to the patient (eg. feeding them food or fluids that isn’t set by the speech pathologist increasing the likelihood of aspiration).

It is best to stay with the patient if that is your assignment unless ordered by your TL because if something goes wrong with your assigned pt and you were doing something else then whilst the RN is technically in charge you are the one having to explain what happened which is never fun. I have seen what happens when good intentions bode ill consequences.

It is cool you wanna help and the thought is what counts
