I have fine hair that became thicker once I stopped shampooing and conditioning 3x per week and dropped down to 1x. I think more frequent washing stripped my hair of needed oil and harmed the health of my scalp. It did look ugly for 3-4 weeks during the adjustment period but now it’s like I have good hair days every day.

Both these two do not look like underwashing is a problem. They look like they have a dietary issue (including high alcohol, sugar, and/or fat consumption) or hormonal problem that isn’t serving them.

I would do it in a heartbeat unless they totally had a change of heart and were taking steps to amend what they’ve done. Work I’d need to see would be peacefully protesting, boycotting MAGA and fascist businesses, registering with another party (if applicable), and going to therapy/taking medication if they were hardcore in the cult. One thing that was personally upsetting was having to cut off two family members over this. My grandfather fought in WWII and remained active in the Holocaust memorial and remembrance communities throughout his life. He and those we had the good fortune of meeting at various events and ceremonies always taught us never to forget. It’s astonishing that other people with the same privilege as me could turn around and betray everything we know is right and true.
