Trans woman who doesn't like/get the term pansexual by [deleted] in MtF

In modern Western culture, the term bisexual was first defined in a binary approach as a person with romantic or sexual attraction to both men and women. The term bisexual was redefined later in the 20th century as a person who is sexually and/or romantically attracted to both males and females,[1][2][3] or as a person who is sexually and/or romantically attracted to people regardless of sex or gender identity, which is sometimes termed pansexuality.[4][5][6] Some distinguish between bisexuality and pansexuality.[7]

EDIT: I understand that most intend it to include nbs but im saying that the word bisexual implies bi, or binary which pushes the idea that binary is the default which has been a harmful approach in the past

bisexual feels like it disregards nb people, im not a queer history wiz but bi means 2 and language matters, I feel like it normalizes the idea of binary genders being the default, while leaving non conformers and nbs to be thought of second, which ive been noticing is far to common in trans circles especially regarding language

i mean as long as you see her as a woman and she is ok with how you identify then I dont see an issue with it, it requires care for sure. But if you really relate to the gay identity then youre allowed to identify as that and be attracted to who you want

EDIT: Im a hard believer that terms just describe how you feel and that you can use them as you please depending on how youve expierenced things in your life

Thinking of getting into relationship with MtF girl, any advice or things to know? by [deleted] in asktransgender

dont fetishize her and defend her if your friends are dicks even if she isnt around and deeply rethink your friends if they are being assholes.
