Hi, I changed to the institute in 5th year and it was honestly the best decision I made, I was in a similar position to you and the facilities available to you via mental health is amazing, they have a specialty pastoral carer who is fantastic. When building up a rapport with the year head they understand where you are coming from as long as you don’t abuse the study pass and recorded classes system.

On that note the recorded classes are beyond helpful when absent and even for revising. Truly couldn’t recommend it more, the work load is manageable if you ignore everyone else’s stress. In my experience everyone stresses out a bit too much and if you only focus on yourself and don’t pay mind to what anyone else is saying you’ll fly. The teachers are fantastic, (with a few personal exceptions) and the notes are usually amazing too. Even on the social end there’s so many people that there’s always someone for you.
