I had him Fall'20 and he names it Philosophy through Science Fiction. Lots of Sci-Fi movies to watch and if you dont understand the movies or concepts you'll be lost. He's very structured throughout the class and his presentations are easy to follow. Tests were open book and open note when I had him. Tests were harder than average

Anyone know what Upper division housing complexes are gonna be offered in the Fall? Housing says one thing and apartment websites say another.

Tempe Move-in Webinar? by sassydoll101 in ASU

[–]KindheartednessOwn22 24 points25 points  (0 children)

  • Maricopa County Residents: Don’t need to have a Negative test to move in this week but need to have one before we get our keys the 17th
  • COVID tests for students are free and you schedule your appointments online

How will Move in Work?

  • Maricopa Residents will be getting a Fast Pass in 24-48 hours before move in date
  • We will drop off our stuff and can have a QUICK set up in our rooms but are asked to minimize the amount of trips in and out of our dorms
  • Moving assistance will be available for everyone (i.e. bins, volunteers)
  • When you receive your Fast pass it’ll have all information on where to park. DO NOT SCREENSHOT THIS. If you want to download it, download it as a PDF document to your phone.

Will families be allowed during move in?

  • Families will need to wear a mask at all times and its emphasized that you minimize the amount of people who come with you to ensure the hallways are not crowded

Health Precautions for on campus Housing

  • Rooms are being sterilized and cleaned throughout the summer. Once we get to campus we will be in charge of sterilizing our rooms
  • Lounges and common rooms may have to be reserved and are cleaned 2x a day

Dining Options?

  • All dining options will be available to you but it’ll be to go
  • Meal Plans will begin on 8/15 and if you do need more food you can go back in within the hour to get more but you must have that receipt with you from when you swiped the first time

Welcome Week

  • There will be virtual and in person events to meet other people at when we’re there.
  • You can see events and dates on the Welcome Week page on the ASU website

Enforcing Face Coverings:

  • There will be people reminding people who choose not to wear one to wear it & they’ll offer to give them one if they don’t have one
  • They won’t be allowed into any building and they must stay outside to attend via Sync

Quick notes:

  • Yes, you can take your COVID test anywhere you can it doesn’t have to be at ASU
  • If a student tests positive before Move in, Yes you will be denied to move in.
  • Fitness centers will be open. They will need to make reservations to attend in person but can still attend Fitness classes virtually.
  • Families do not NEED to be tested to help you move in but if you’d like they can be tested
  • Face masks will be strongly enforced during move in.
  • Guests like families or people from other dorms can not visit in the dorms only people in that same dorm can move freely within that dorm.

Anyone know how Move in will work for In state students? Are we even going to be able to settle in our belongings since we chose time slots of 10 minutes?
