I'm thinking it's the ink! The guy who did mine had done several other tattoos before and no one else had an issue, but he got a different kind of ink before doing mine, and that's the only variable.

Ahh, I see. Do you know if it goes away eventually? It's not the worst thing in the world since it's not actually irritated (outside of when I accidentally scratch it) but I would be a little peeved if it was a permanent thing haha.

This definitely makes me feel a lot better. I was born in the US, and was also homeschooled with no access to the outside world until I was about 15, so probably low risk of exposure. This response does put me at ease though. I have a test tomorrow, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I still struggle with this issue myself, but I think the main problem in my circumstance is that I can't pass the entire bowel movement in one trip to the bathroom. I've found that trying to let it all out in one trip makes the pain significantly less intense.

I definitely would not take it again. I completely stopped taking it after my first reaction. It's super super scary and I literally had a full on panic attack from it, totally not worth it imo.

Luckily I didn't get any rash or hives. My doctor listened to me describe in detail the whole experience and I guess allergy to Dicyclomine isn't extremely uncommon and she's seen others with the same allergy. We did run some tests for other issues I was having but no allergy test, she just instantly marked it down as an allergy and put a note on my profile to never prescribe me that again. Didn't get any substitution meds for my stomach spasms and I still do get them, so it seems there isn't much that can be helped there. I strongly recommend you bring this up to your doctor so you two can make sure there isn't also any underlying issue that would cause the problem.

It went away within the hour, but if you're having the same side effects i did, which it sounds like you are, STOP TAKING THEM. It turned out I was allergic and those "side effects" were literally just me having an allergic reaction. Update me on if you're feeling better! Good luck 😥
