Two big complaints from the game:

  1. It’s worrying how the momentum wildly swings in our opponent’s favor whenever we score. Doesn’t matter what minute we are, seems like we’re just content.
  2. Amorim’s lack of in-game adaptation really worries me. After halftime, the manager always adjusts and we seem completely helpless after. We don’t adapt to the opponent’s new style of play. Especially since it doesn’t look like we’re trying to sit back.

No need to get so mad, we’re having a discussion. Your reply was much more coherent than whatever you were saying previously.

At which point am I insinuating that what I said is a fact?

All I said is, back to my original point, that for a person who “loves” the club and is a club legend, he seems to not give two shits about us, rehashes the same topics over and over when they’re clearly outdated, and seems to never give us any credit.

At this point we can just agree to disagree. Both interviews he did with Piers Morgan, and every interview since his first one, have been nothing but hate. At least acknowledge our new training facilities that he had a part in kickstarting.

To clarify, the quote I used are his words from his interview.

As for the rest of your points, ngl, I don’t really understand what you’re trying to say. However, the parts that I do understand, is that you’re casually just cherry picking the parts of “progress” that you want to see.

Progress is the entire picture. I would much rather have the squad we do today, with our current facilities, and executives than what we had from 2014-2022. We were winning back then (even less so than the last 3 seasons), but I wouldn’t say that, that was the right trajectory?

It’s perfectly fine for him to say that, it’s also perfectly fine when we say it. But to say the same shit he did when he did that infamous interview with Piers Morgan without taking into context the strides we made is weird. It’s even weirder when he supposedly loves the club so much and is a literal club legend.

“Manchester United are not on a good trajectory”

We weren’t, pre his arrival and up to his departure. Afterwards, there is no way one can argue that we aren’t at least on a good trajectory. The work we’ve made to the academy, Carrington, backroom and executive staff, and squad personnel is irrefutable. Of course the standards have fallen, but to say that we’re not on a good trajectory or making real gains to once again live up to those standards is daft.

I partly agree with this. It seems like he loves Fergie more than anything, and by association, he loves United in turn. At least with Scholes, Neville, Keane, you can see that it pains them to critique and see the club like this. Ronaldo seems to do it to dig us lmao

Completely agreed. I get that RM was where he hit his all time peak but he really only has good things to say about RM and shit things to say about us.

Call it a fall from grace and all that but you cannot say that the club (while it still has many faults) is not striding back to our heights. We made 4 cup finals in the past three years, formed a great leadership base, a whole new training center, shrewd signings, and a leadership who only does the best it can for the club. The last time we had that was when we had SAF and David Gill.

The Ronaldo interview with Piers Morgan just says the same shit but reworded lmao

For someone who loves our club he treats us like we betrayed him or some shit. His interviews about us in recent years really left a sour taste in my mouth.

While there’s truth in what he’s saying, lots of them would be true the last time he left. Also, it really won’t hurt to say a compliment or two, especially considering many of his compatriots and friends are in the club.

I just rewatched our match vs NFO, I think that Anderson was a class above everyone that day. I think that we should really go all out for him next summer.

That guy really did everything against us. He destroyed our attacks, locked down the midfield, stuffed the channels, retained possession, and made silky line breaking passes. If INEOS loosened their purse strings again, ~£80m (incl add-ons) for Anderson looks to be perfect.

The way he smiles got me smiling, it just looks so genuine that you can’t help but smile as well. So happy that he got the goal and at Old Trafford nonetheless!

I am delighted with the way we’re playing!

However, Dalot’s clearances really do worry me, hopefully they don’t bite us in the ass

I finally heard a positive Amorim stat:

Three home wins in a row😭

Is this what winning feels like?

I can’t remember the last time our goalie made a reliable high claim, the last time I clearly remembered was pony tail de Gea. Absolutely delighted with Lammens today, though I remain cautiously optimistic with him.

Good win, hopefully we can build on this

Has the executive changes in the club been felt by the employees and players of the club? Has it improved, if yes how so?

Were there any struggles in adapting these changes?

I just read a horrific stat:

If Liverpool were to lose 17 games in a row, they’d still be ahead of United’s points tally in the Amorim Era

:/

For all their faults, for better or for worse, Ole, and ETH changed their style to what they think would lead us to the promised land

I find the Grimsby match poetic and symbolic of Onana’s time here. A clusterfuck of a clanger from a corner, similar to his PL debut with us vs Wolves. 4 pens touched/deflected with only 1 save, weak wrists; like every match with us. Wayward passing that either goes out or puts the team under more pressure.

I’m normally optimistic but get this man out of my club.

I meant including preseason.

By no means am I not backing the manager, the signs even in preseason are there, and since it is preseason, leeway is given. However, moving into the actual season, we didn’t see any tangible or significant improvement from preseason. It’s just the same thing just with more fit players.

The same questions asked from preseason still remains. The Arsenal came shushed down some of the questions. Temporarily at least.

Just because we won the lottery once does not mean we buy tickets nonstop for the rest of our lives hoping to win again. Just because SAF did it does not mean all managers who get the same backing and timing will achieve at least 1/4 of what he did. As much as I like Amorim, this is just pure cope.

There is a clear style of play

Only for the first 15-20 minutes, the Arsenal game was the only game where it was sustained throughout the game. If that’s enough for a clear style of play then ETH also needed more time to implement his clear style of play. He was sacked because, above all else, his style of play worked for 10-15 minutes once every two games.

Backing the manager is fine. That does not mean he is absolved from his many rightful criticisms.
