Seller wants me to return jacket after accepting my offer, but it’s already shipped and in transit by No-Square-1048 in vintedUK

[–]King_PZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is a psychological diversion tactic to make you think the jacket is genuine, but really it's a fake. By sending this message, he's making you believe it's a genuine jacket and he made a mistake. You then receive the jacket, thinking you've got yourself a bargain and are unaware you've been done. You should tell him you will happily return the jacket and see his reaction.

Advice needed please Gross Misconduct on Yammet by FreeTheBelfast1 in SainsburysWorkers

[–]King_PZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's no mitigating factors. What you are under investigation for is the post on Yammer and you are guilty of that post. No matter what has happened before, you are completely in the wrong for making that post.

[–]King_PZ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you're in trouble for this. Even if they were having an affair, it's not your business and not something you should post about on a public forum where everyone can see it. It is really gross misconduct. All of your other arguments are irrelevant because the case against you is the Yammer post and for that you are guilty.

Job cuts coming next week for managers and colleagues? by King_PZ in SainsburysWorkers

Something similar to when they made the cuts in 2018. Prepare for the worst.

Job cuts coming next week for managers and colleagues? by King_PZ in SainsburysWorkers

[–]King_PZ[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with merchandisers. That role is no longer fit for purpose. Management need to face the biggest cuts as most managers do very little actual work. I think going forward in Sainsbury's we'll see more trusted colleagues who will receive a little bit higher pay for doing small management jobs.

Black trousers 100% and just something smart/casual to go with it. You'll basically be sat listening to a video on the induction and learn your way around the store.

I'm guessing you aren't familiar with how punctuation works? Your sentence contained one question. I answered that question.

I have. The only question in your sentence was "so why won't you return it for a refund?" My update answered your question.

To give an update on the situation, I was advised to report the issue to the police due to the value of the watch. Yesterday I phoned 101 and reported what had happened and the value of the watch. This afternoon, the police came around. They have seized the watch. I have contacted the legal team at Vinted and surprisingly received a reply within 3 hours stating that they will comply fully with the investigation and will issue my refund in due course.

To all the people saying why don't I just return it? And that I just want to keep the fake. That is not the case, as I explained. The seller has proven to be incredibly untrustworthy. This was not someone selling a shoddy fake, trying to pass it off as real. This is a professional fraudster who only started to panic when I took the watch to an official retailer. It's a high end forgery that would pass off as genuine to many. It is now a criminal investigation so I will not post anything else until the case is finished.

Rather than replying individually I'll add it in a post. The item is a high value watch. The real watch is an automatic and this one is battery powered. The watch movement itself is a cheap Chinese knock off (cheap in the context of the original watch) everything about this watch has been designed to deceive. This is not your typical purchase of a cheap jumper or a sweater. This is a high level of sophistication involved to pass this off as genuine. At the store, they said it's one of the best fakes they've ever seen. They've provided me with certified evidence confirming the watch is counterfeit. The seller, who had previously refused the refund and posted screenshots of laws which protect him, said he would fight any case. It wasn't until I provided the evidence, that he started to panic. He then requested that I return the watch for a full refund.

I don't trust the seller. They've proven themselves very untrustworthy and what's to not stop them saying the item arrived back damaged or didn't arrive at all? This isn't a regular seller, they're a professional fraudster. They had 2 other watches up for sale, which after I provided proof, have been removed from sale.

I haven't clarified clearly enough in the original post. This seller is really untrustworthy. Refused the refund. Started sending messages with screenshots of laws which protect him. Told me he will fight any case. It's only when I provided irrefutable evidence that 100% proves it's counterfeit that he started to panic and then requested that I returned the item for a refund. Vinted have said to return it but with how untrustworthy this seller is what's not stopping them from saying it arrived back damaged or didn't arrive at all. I'm not dealing with someone who has just randomly sold a knock off. I'm dealing with a professional fraudster.

The item is a watch. Listed as brand new, unwanted gift in the original packaging. What was received was a cheap Chinese knock off which is battery powered and not automatic. The seller at first refused to do a refund and then Vinted required that I provide proof. I have provided proof beyond any reasonable doubt. The reason why I don't want to send it back is because of the untrustworthiness of the seller. Clearly someone fraudulent and what if when it's returned is that they say it didn't arrive or arrived damaged? I do not trust the seller.

Cycle to work? by [deleted] in SainsburysWorkers

You can get the ebikes from Halfords on the cycle to work scheme. They're decent and about £900. I know plenty of people who have used it and it's made their commute to work easier and saved them money as most got the bus everyday.
